Oxford, MS Associated Press Jacob Eason had a solid SEC debut and Nick Chubb continued to regain his previous form as a late interception helped Georgia upset Ole Miss 31-27.

While Chad Kelly put up a very good game of 18-30 for 305 yards with 2 TDs and just the late interception, one of the TDs he threw was a lucky one in that it bounced out of the hands of a defender and into Evan Ingram's hands.

And while Eason had a solid game of 15-25 for 250 yards and 2 TDs, it was really Georgia's RBs that stole the show, with Nick Chubb showcasing some moves that made it look like he was close to 100%, putting up 85 yards on the most carries he has had in almost a year and one TD.

"Nick Chubb looked as good as he did in his freshman year on his TD run" said head coach Hugh Freeze.

Georgia will look to keep it going next week vs Tennessee, while Ole Miss looks to regroup.

I feel like us UGA fans are putting too much pressure on Nick Chubb to be back ready by the beginning of the season.

N Chubb has had a few injuries prior to his knee problem, so I would rather not rush him back even though many of our fans view him as some kind of super human. His injury looked horrific and so did K Marshalls, and we saw how that affected the latter. Plus look at T Gurley's injury. Gurley was able to walk off the field, and came back strong but the injury wasn't as bad.

Regardless of how quickly Chubb gets back to 100% you'll have a stable including Michel and Holyfield ready behind him... You're Georgia.

Well, that would normally be the case, but Ole Miss will have more depth than they've ever had so this may not necessarily be the case.

Maybe the following year. Not next year. Contrary to the prognosticators, Rebs take a step back next year. If they have to start a lot of freshmen, they're in trouble. A year later though, watch out.

We singed the best offensive class in the country yesterday... Multiple teams have an argument for second place but they're all a distant second.

We'll start 1 freshman on D and 2 on O.

Some injuries look worse then they are...Doctors were "pleased" when they went into his knee. Chubb is already walking around without crutches. He will be ready by summer practices. Many team personnel, including trainers, have said it. SEC fricked.

PS - Chubb is a super hero

Wait what? Isn't your new coach the former Bama DC? How has he done against our offense?

I'll allow it. Though 5 turnovers + a helmet doink touchdown in 2015 might be a little much to put on Kirby's shoulders.

Personally, I'm conceding this one as a likely loss. If we're starting Eason, it's only his second road SEC game and likely the first one against a ranked opponent. If we're starting anyone else... wake me in 2017.

Ok. Subtract all turnovers and fluke plays from each teams performance and tell me what you come up with. The exercise might scare you.

ETA this for both tams please.

Had not looked at your schedule. Didn't realize you guys open with FSU. Interdasting. You really could be looking at a battered up team by the time we roll into town. I'll take it. Any advantage we can get.

I'd imagine you guys should beat FSU, so would be surprised if not at least 2-1 going into the game. Bama for a 3rd straight year could be a damn difficult task but good luck!

Not sure I follow. I assume you're getting at you still win. I'm not arguing that, simply that the 30+ points you put up were not solely on Bama's defensive performance.
