Again I call BS. Been around too may visiting fans that had great times tail-gating at UF.

That is why I tailgate off campus north of the stadium.
UPD are assholes to anyone who does not pay for the privilege of tailgating on campus, especially opposing teams. Our last president was a killer of fun in all aspects. I hope they reverse some of that but the people who have influence are left alone.

I have been there twice and can say I will never go to Gainesville again. Their food sucks - fine dining in Gainesville is eating at an Applebee's. The fan base has an incredible inflated opinion of their football program and I do not know why. They have won 3 NC's which is okay, but so has LSU. I would recommend picking another place for a road trip.

With that out of the way:
GPD and UF cops will go after opposing fans when they are blackout drunk or drinking with an open container. That will always be the case.
Drink out of a solo cup or non clear container. They will leave you alone.
If you can not get on campus to set up tailgating early, there is a ton of parking at houses north of the stadium.
University avenue is closed to vehicles 3 hours before the game and 2 hours after.

Pretty much everywhere has a law against open containers. It's just that not every place has douchebag cops that can't lighten up. But it's fine, UF can be Saudi Arabia West if they want to be

Been to plenty of games in Gainesville. They know how to party there and cops walking around leave everyone alone unless they get complaints from other groups about a group harassing another one or where they do not respect that children are around.
So, this didn't happen or y'all were really jerks acting like Miami fans.

The only time I've had trouble was when I was drunk and acting like a drunk, jackass college student. Don't walk around with an open container and you'll be fine. That's pretty normal everywhere. Have fun at the houses you'll be around a bunch of people having a good time
