OSU has the 107th ranked defense. Any wonder those offenses are "better"?

I understand what you're saying, but as I said, margin of victory against defenses, should be a clear cut in OSU's favor, since they are scoring against bad defenses. Yet, it's Bama's offense that has a larger margin of victory against defenses that are nearly 2 times better than those faced by OSU.

You are an idiot. If the offense you are facing can score points it influences MOV. If you beat a team 28-0 you have a higher MOV than Okie Lite which has played a crap load of 41-22 type games because Ill give you a hint-theyve played teams like baylor with RGIII who can put up some points rather than Auburn with White Cam. MOV while only looking at one phase is asinine.

I look at how many current BCS ranked teams each team has defeated this year.

LSU 5 after saturday
ala 2 this year
OSU If they beat Okla then 5 teams this year.

Either way LSU will beat whichever team the voters put into the BCSCG so good luck to alabama/OSU will be seeing one of yall January 9.

FWIW: Saban said in 2003 that he believed that if a team didn't win their conference championship then they shouldn't be playing for a national championship.

Arky is 14th in scoring offense. We stopped them. OSU has stopped nobody from scoring. They just outscored other sorry defenses. Hint.. the Big 12 is overrated and 2 if not up to the top 4 teams in the SEC could run the table this year with any of their schedules.

btw, WTF is a UNC fan doing on here talking about football? You should be arguing for/promoting your basketball program instead of your illegal agent activity stained, corrupt academic scandaled football program.

We dismantled the same offense (Arkansas) that put up HUGE numbers against their Big 12 foe this year. btw, we're bringing up Big 12 defenses to educate the idiots who rag on Alabama's offense which averages roughly 40 points a game in its wins against superior defenses.

Actually, he didn't.

It's an urban legend, much like Les Miles' brain surgery to remove a tumor.

Never happened but Gundy did say this.

Actually this isn't a rumor. He had crowton surgically removed last year.

Ok so let me see if I understand this correctly. Big 12s defensive rank has nothing to do against the offenses they play week in and week out? Yet Bama plays against "superior" defenses, even though the SECs offense is down this year? Great logic!

I just gave you some logic but you decided not to comprehend it. Big 12 offenses don't tackle anyone. I'm comparing Alabama to Oklahoma State and am saying that Alabama would run it and pass down the pathetic Oklahoma State defense's throat. That goes for Oklahoma State's defense against LSU as well. Both teams totally manhandled Arkansas's offense which is every bit as talented and explosive as Oklahoma State's offense.

You can only use the stats that make Bama look better - it's not hard to understand...

The only fair way to settle things is to let Bama and OSU play at Jerry World and the winner gets a chance to LSU in the NC game!

Yall should listen to your players.

LSU defensive end Sam Montgomery says it doesn't matter who the Tigers face in the BCS championship game, but Alabama would provide 'the ultimate test.'

I hate the last post on page blues.

Here is my take of the rematch... IDC

quote:

Look IDC who we play in the NC, or if they had to win their conference or not. I'm happy to be in the position we are in. So what if we have to play an extra game than #2 Bama. They might like the position they are in, but in the grand scheme of things are kicking themselves for not winning the title All SEC teams strive to win at the start of the season. The SEC title is this week and it gets my full attention. UGA is a good team, weak schedule, but they shouldn't be overlooked.

We are in the position every team in the nation covets. We are ranked number 1, we could possibly lose to UGA and still be ranked number one in the polls and play a NC, it's LSU's first 12-0(8-0) SEC season, It's Miles's first perfect regular season(if we win this weekend I guess you can spell Les Miles without two L's). LSU has never been in this position before and it feels amazing. We are the cream of the crop, the talk of the town, and you what ? It gets even better.

So everyone can keep talking about this rematch, who LSU should play(I'm going to say that again just because I like how it rolls off the tongue. WHO LSU should play), why Bama is number 2 and not blah blah blah. I'm going to enjoy this moment since there are many LSU fans that are no longer with us that would have dreamed to experience such a turn of events. We unseated possibly the most dominant Bama defense in it's history, beat 3 teams that were at the time ranked in the top 3, overcame self imposed adversity, and unimposed scrutiny... Look where we are. Look where they are.

Whose seat looks sweeter?

Let's curb stomp those mutts!

Note: This is BEFORE the Oklahoma St vs Oklahoma game (Okie Lite would have an additional top-20 and top-40 team). 78% chose Oklahoma St compared to 11% choosing Alabama.
