Sumlin took over a middling Big 12 team, joined the toughest division in all of football, and over the last two years has the same number of wins as Les Miles... who was coming off a natty game appearance, whose state supposedly has the best talent per capita in the history of the world, the greatest offensive coordinator to ever choose footbsll over curing cancer and a defense that can supposedly see no dropoff after watching 9 underclassmen leave early.

This is crazy thought processing. And Mack was asked to pack.

Sumlin still has a lot of proving to do IMO...

Y'all are overlooking everything that Sumlin has brought to A&M. Manziel aside (which helped tremendously), Sumlin brought a certain "coolness" to A&M. Moving to the SEC, new uniforms, Sumlin's personality, and the SWAGCOPTER all made A&M the "it" school right now. Sumlin knows how to use social media and he does it well. He also gets out and does interviews as much as possible and is a great representative for the school. Sherman refused to use social media, etc.

Those that think A&M will never be more than 4th best in the SEC are smoking crack. Yes we had the best player in college football the last two years and did not win the trophy, but look at our defense. We are still playing with guys that were recruited for the Big 12. We have had zero depth on defense. We had a wide receiver playing linebacker this year! Manziel has allowed us to bridge the gap without being embarrassed.

So if I bring a swag copter and tweet about it I'll be considered justly paid?

You really think Sumlin's career is even remotely comparable to Mack Brown's? Lets see how that record will compare in 3-5 years without one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play college football.

It gave up 40 fricking points in a single half. I'm not shaking in my boots over them.

False..

We had over 700 million in donations last year. Sumlin (despite our defensive meltdowns) has brought a new energy that we've not seen in aggieland. Easily the best 5 mil we've ever spent.
