Whore!

Be careful or your boy may be guilty of patronizing a prostitute - a 2nd degree misdemeanor in Florida, but may still be against UF's student code of conduct.

Whores are still capable of being raped(I know you're not saying they can't be).

I agree about the self respect. I actually don't look down on girls I know who would be classified as whores, but own it. Some girls like sex just as much as we do. Own that shite, and know what you want and how to go about your business. Girls like that are good to go in my book. I have a few girl friends like this who are funny, confident, and self aware.

It's attention whore whores who don't look out for themselves and who put themselves in sketchy situations who need to be more self aware. Figure out what you want and what you're about. Nothing worse than a girl who can't own who they are and how they feel.

Any girl who puts herself out there to have sex with more than one guy at a time or on the same night, how do say "no" to the third or fourth guy and expect immediate respect. "No" is still "no" but they have to realize they put themselves at risk. Because the facts will come out and people will shout (or post) "Whore".

Feminists would go nuts with this, but I agree.

"Why shouldn't a girl be able to have sex with two guys at once but file an assault charge against a third guy she was hesitant about but hooked up with anyway? Women don't yield control of their bodies when engaged in sexual contact!!!"

No way the lawyer puts that out with his name on it unless he is 100% confident on the facts of the case.

Please.

He's playing to public opinion.

Yeah, I get the reasoning to an extent and can even agree with keeping a player off the field while an investigation proceeds or heck, restricting him from non-academic activities but this essentially makes him homeless (or would if he wasn't from a good background L, his parents will probably just rent him an apartment) and given the eligibility requirements of a scholarship could endanger his career even if he's cleared if it makes him academically ineligible like.

Her biased opinion is just as valid as yours

ETA: And the point remains, this is a statement meant to skew public opinion against the girl and in favor of the guy. Nothing more, nothing less. Johnson is trying to save his client some face by at least making her out to be culpable to sexual act, if not outright making her appear to be a slut. It's an intimidation tactic. Now it's just a matter of waiting to see if the girl backs off or not.

Lawyers do dumb shite all the time... the idea that Harris's lawyer is smart for releasing this statement could be misguided.

I'm sure Diana will be out front if it's shown that she's full of shite. It's extremely fricked up that people like her have no qualms with stigmatizing the shite out of a young man and derailing his life because they generally side with a person they've never met who happens to share the same gender.

I really think in their mind ruining this kid's life is fine, even if the girl's story is false, because "sometimes the story will be true."

What if all the evidence is lined up like he stated?

This is a very experienced lawyer.

If he did it, put him in jail.

I'm not biased at all in this matter.

Glad to know you read feminazi bloggers though. It's fitting.

It's also not a fair fight. The girl's identity isn't public, his is. The girl can presumably continue her activities. Harris can't.

People acting like this is some low blow are ridiculous. It may not be wise from a legal strategy perspective, but if he's in the right and she's lying, what the hell is wrong with shaming her.

Because he could be wrong and be publicly shaming a rape victim. It's a high risk, high reward maneuver.

It's more risky to falsely accuse someone of rape. Well, that is, if there were actually repercussions applied to the accuser.

True, though identities rarely stay private on a college campus. Remember the Ben Roethlisberger thing in Milledgeville? That didn't even go to trial and that girl had to transfer schools. Guilty or not, this is a cat that can't be put back into the bag.

Legally, sure, but hopefully Harris knows whether or not there is any legitimacy to the claim.

That's no assurance it'll be a good move, but from an ethical/moral standpoint, I have zero issue with trashing the girl if they have firm evidence/belief her story is false.

Essentially, people get worked up because the statement could be trashing a victim. I understand that to some extent. I don't understand why an element of society has no concern that she also could be trashing someone she's turned into a victim.

I know, but in a broad context, I don't know her name. It'd take a little effort to find it. It won't be on the news.

Meanwhile, his picture will most certainly be up with "RAPIST?" underneath it until this is resolved. Media doesn't really stick around to help people rebuild after false accusations are confirmed.
