I was going to transfer anyway is what triggered Bailey's response? LOL

No. A barrage of negative media attention coming down on the UGA program in the wake of the dismissals is what triggered his response.

Better question is why do UGA fans hate AU when the situation was caused by Mark Richt?

OK, now I'm curious. How did Mark Richt cause this?

CMR could have dismissed his former player in a manner that would not have allowed him to come directly to AU.

Instead he openly has spoken about allowing kids to freely go wherever they feel is in thier best interest, while noble and shows Richts character also creates these typs of events.

Somehow that has become AU's fault that he chose to come to a school closer to home and play for a team that heavily recruited him.

That moment when I feel bad that Tray's aunt has to live in Auburn, AL with people that can only offer up "lulz" when faced with an argument.

Why did you apply to Auburn as a UGA fan?

I tried to read the entire thing and be logical about it. I really did. But I lost all interest when she wrote:
quote:

I’m confused as to why “fans” have co-signed with Mr. Bailey when the creditability of his statements are suspect!

AND
quote:

So why is what Mr. Bailey has said so worthy of applaud?

in the same paragraph.

Her creditability is not worthy of any applaud, IMO. Just the garden-variety incompetence, nothing to see here.

He had no choice but to dismiss him. At that point, Tray can do as he pleases.

I agree with this policy.

It's not anyone's fault. AU chose to take him, and Tray chose to go there. It shouldn't be a big deal.

And yet...

You are the minority here.

This is asinine. Auburn gets to shoulder their brunt of all of this because they involved themselves in the matter when they easily could have told him to go JUCO and get back with them in a year. It doesn't help, either, that AU has a history of taking on kids that ran into serious trouble while at another SEC school (Nick Marshall and Cam). Public perception hasn't been kind to AU in the past decade, why would it suddenly ignore this?

I really don't think so. I think it's partly a case of a louder minority and also AU fans zeroing in on posts made by UGA fans that are upset about it.
