So, by your standards, Spurrier, born in Florida, but raised and went to high school in Tennessee is a traitor because he won a heisman at Florida.

I didn't say anything about what does or does not make someone a traitor. I simply said that merely being born in a state is not the same as being "from" that state.

You must be a LSU fan.

Seriously? His tenure there was a shite show. He is a really good college coach but he is a horrible NFL coach.
Not really. He never had a QB. And thank god. Or he'd still be there. Regardless, he was a top DC and assistant for nearly a decade with the Oilers and Browns. He was quite the solid NFL coach.

Bo Jackson and Charles Barkley not going to Alabama

Lindsey Miller asking for impermissible benefits and then turning the school into the NCAA for those benefits is pretty much Benedict fricking Arnold, in my book.

This and Lester Earl are the only two posts so far that could be considered traitors. Hundreds of kids leave the state of Florida every year to go play ball. Does that make them traitors, no. I consider a traitor someone who turns on a school they've been committed to or have played for and there be negative consequences. Matt Womack is an example.

He didn't attend UT because he wanted to throw the ball.
So yes he went against his home state

Gotta be Shaun Alexander, though just like we can't really fault him for going to Bama, they can hardly fault guys like Demarcus Cousins or Eric Bledsoe coming to Kentucky. We'll call it even.
Same goes for Tennessee and Chris Lofton, though we got Randall Cobb so I think we made out alright on that one

Dennis Franchione is a traitor.
No. He's an a-hole. Those are two different things. 14 1/2 years later and I have no ill will toward Fran for leaving. It was the way he left I still have a problem with.
