False on Bama's being the biggest. No way that's true when we have TWO.

A&M's is simultaneously the largest and the shittiest.

A&M has two indoor practice fields side-by-side. One is football only, the other has a concourse with concessions, is surrounded by an indoor track with corners that can be raised and lowered, and has a seating area.

Both buildings are atrocious windowless tan eyesores. They look like the world's biggest Quonset huts.

But the facility itself is very nice. Despite the look on the outside. It's also much better looking from the ground level than these terreible overheads.

Which begs a serious question. How come these facilities always seem to cost in the 20 - 40 million range?

Most of them look like they have more than just a field with a roof over it. I know Ole Miss' facility has dining, weight rooms, coaching offices, media rooms, players lounge, player meeting room, locker room, physical therapy.

UGA's is not an indoor practice field. It is an indoor workout/mat drill/ walk through facility. We man up and and play in the rain for practice. We use all 6 outdoor fields, not 1 indoor field. If it gets crazy with the weather, we go to the gym where we have space for 3 fields and can conduct a full practice spread out, not just 1 field where everyone can't practice. 1 full length field is not enough for a practice...We've done fine the past 12 years under Richt without one.

So you have an IPF for football and an Indoor Track for T&F. Those are two separate things.

Per yahoo sports quote the new Bama facility is all sports:

New facility is football only. Rest of the sports use footballs old facility.

Rarely need one in the "sunshine state".

Nope and we probably won't have one unless it has an indoor track or something. There is really no more room on campus for athletic facilities.

The temperature is relatively warm year around, but it rains almost everyday in Florida.
I assumed every big time program had an indoor practice field.

Cool. If there is no room, there's no room.
I see it as a benefit, forcing players to practice in the elements.
