I remember Faulk playing the Hogs in LR one year. He lined up at QB several times and ran the earliest version of the wildcat I can recall. The LSU team as a whole was not that good at the time but he was a gamer.

Athlon has the same credibility as Bleacher Report imo.
Going on College careers alone Adrian Peterson isn't the best. I'm a homer but still Dmac's numbers are better, he led the Wildcat renaissance, was 2nd in Heisman voting 2x, Walker award winner 2x.
Reggie Bush is the most overhyped player in the history of NCAA football.
I think the list starts with Ricky Williams and Ron Dayne and is debatable after that.

I wouldn't have Faulk on the Los cause he had what one bcs season?
But I'll also say that guy is under-rated by everyone but LSU fans

Kevin Faulk probably had the most successful NFL career of the bunch...but hat to be adept at ST and receiving additionally to do it.

edit
SEC bunch I mean
Faulk: 7308 career yrds rushing and receiving, 31 career TDs rush/rec.
S. Alexander: 9453 rushing yrd alone (30th all time). 100 career rushing TD's (12 receiving), 3X pro Bowl, 2X All Pro, 2005 NFL MVP, Named by the NFL to the All Decade Team for the 2000's, He had almost as many rushing TD's (27) in one year than Faulk had his entire career.
Surely you weren't serious because this aint even close.

I can see the reason for ranking Jamal Lewis so low, since he missed most of 1998 and wasn't 100% in 1999. That said, he's unquestionably better than a lot of the backs on the list.

List can't be right...Ingram over Gerhardt????

Anthony Dixon better than Ronnie Brown!

The lack of respect for Ronnie Brown is always astonishing to me. Second overall pick in the draft and played second fiddle to a more hyped player with a catchier name in college but he was a beast on the field. Him being behind Lattimore is fricking comical considering he had more yards on less carries. I am not saying that Brown should be top 10 by any means but he has no business behind half of the players in front of him.
I would also include Ben Tate in the list towards the 100 mark.
I think Ingram is too high on the list and I really think Alexander should be higher.
Felix Jones should be a top 50 back for the same reasons that Brown should be.

I am willing to bet if you took away this past season for AP he would drop out of the top 5. I think the writer is letting his NFL season cloud the college career.
I like Ricky at 1 dmac at 2 dayne needs to drop to about 6

No Ben Tate?
Alexander probably should be a little higher - he is arguably our best ever.
