UGA fans won't be happy.
Also, Ralph Webb.
Also, Ralph Webb.

Why would you even bother to put a Mizzou RB on this list? Mizzou is irrelevant. They don't belong in the league - and never will - so their players shouldn't be included in a Top 5, Top 10, or Top 50 list.

Only one back in the conference is likely to finish 2nd all time in Yards after this season and he's not on the list?

UGA fans are awfully sensitive

Um why is that?
Chubb is def in the top 5 in the SEC. Not listing him is not us being too sensitive, its just stupidity.

Ralph Webb should be number 2 on the list. Everybody knows he is getting the ball. He still does what he does....with Vanderbilt.

Among returning players Chubb was 5th in yards, 15th in YPC and 7th in TDs last year. That's with limiting it to only players with 100 or more attempts.
Pre-injury Chubb would easily be top 5, but then again had he not gotten hurt he'd be starting in the NFL this year. Post-injury Chubb still has something to prove.

The number of good backs in the SEC is ridiculous this year, it's hard to rank 5. I know Trayveon should without a doubt be top 10 though. It's hard to say where a guy like Josh Jacobs might rank if he were the main guy elsewhere. He's obviously really damn good.

No RB is more overlooked on this board than Ralph Webb.

But a guy with 500 or so yards last year doesn't?

Did I say that? Chubb isn't "easily" top 5, and an argument can be made he shouldn't be top 5 at all. Same goes for Jacobs.

While splitting carries with Sony AND running behind arguably the worst line in the SEC last year.
The guy might have been coming off an injury, but lets not leave off such details. Also, we run pro style so half the time we throw the football, which also takes away from Chubb's stats.

Yeah arguements can be made for Chubb either way. Don't really see any arguement for having Jacobs on the list though.

Splitting carries and his team throws the ball.....Only Chubb had to deal with this.

yeah but if exclude Chubb because of injury issues, then I guess you should exclude BoScar too, he has to prove himself after an injury, does he not? Then Jacobs who is third string, and leave off Bama's leading rusher Harriss. I know his break away speed is not there, but his initial burst is good enough to have him start over both BoScar and Jacobs who somehow made the list. I mean everybody is entitled to their opinion but I don't see consistency in the list. Is it yards? Yards per carry? Staying healthy? Why are there two guys on the list who didn't start but the guy who did start not make the list?
Posted on 8/10/17 at 8:22 am to JesusQuintana
likely most on this list are going to get out rushed by at least one and possibly two QB's

Then the top 5 should be
Guice
Harris
Trayveon Williams
Scarborough
Kelly
Guice

Trayveon Williams
Scarborough
Kelly

I'm sorry but no one can possibly believe this.
Look up ANY RB ranking list. You will not find Chubb lower that 7th, in the nation, much less SEC.
Chubb ran for over 1100 yards last year. He missed a game, one of the worst o-lines in the SEC, new OC, true freshman QB, and splitting carries with Michel. On top of that, he was coming back from a horrific injury.
I know people love to act like Chubb is some average back on here, but to not have him in the top 5 is literally insane.

The stats back it up. Sorry.

He was the definition of average in 2016. Again, sorry.

Missouri's backup running back took more carries away from Crockett than Michel did from Chubb. That didn't seem to stop Crockett from averaging nearly 2 ypc more than Chubb.

Lol what a response. The forward pass has been prevalent in college football for quite a while now.9 teams in the SEC threw the ball more than Georgia btw.
Chubb was 3rd in carries but only finished 7th in rushing yards. He had the lowest YPC of of the top 10 rushers in the conference.
