There are a ton of really good backs this year. Probably 10 more that have an argument to make the list. Just the guys I personally think are the best.

Damien Harris had 1k last year I believe. So many overlook him and Pettway from au.

Yes, Harris is a stud too. You could make an argument that Alabama has 3 of the top 5 or 6 backs in the league....and Hurts.

Snell is easily top 5 IMO, but I agree the sec has so many that could be on this list.
ETA: Snell had 1096 yards in 11 games(didn't play the first 2 games of year) and 13 TD's.

Had to leave somebody off. Snell is a beast as well. So is Boom for that matter

I think John Kelly is the best player on Tennessee's roster by a wide margin.
Hard to make a case for him with so many other guys having a longer track record but he was Tennessee's leading rusher last year over Hurd and Kamara despite getting fewer touches and I think has a chance to be Tennessee's best back in 15+ years.
Should be featured very prominently this year. If he is not on these lists at the end of the season I will be pretty surprised.
I would not make an argument for any other Tennessee player being top 5 at their position in the league.

SEC is absolutely loaded at RB.
Jordan Scarlett would be top three in most conferences in terms of expectations. Don't know that he would even be top ten at this point in the SEC until he proves it. Thats crazy.

I'd put Whaley at 5...will be in the all-sec mix anyway at end of season

Yeah Whaley is gonna have a 1500 yard, 15 TD type season.

If he does then I'll be super surprised. He was the RB I wanted most when we got him. Definitely has the ability. Figure that is his Jr year type #s.

No RB is more overlooked on this board than Ralph Webb.

Any list without Chubb in it is absolute shite.
Posted on 8/10/17 at 7:22 am to JesusQuintana
So you leave off Chubb who rushed for over 1100 yards despite splitting carries with Michel while listing 3 backs with fewer yards?

Crockett - 6.94
Jacobs - 6.67
Scarborough - 6.50

Damien Harris is as good as anyone under 20 yards. But it is frustrating to see him bust through with no one in front of him and see him get run down every time.
