Lol...
Alabama is the only better job in the SEC than UF.

Sorry, this isn't the early 2000's anymore. Tennessee and Florida have taken a slight step back.
It's fun to laugh at A&M but they have more money than anyone else and the most fertile recruiting ground in the US.

Uh, Florida as a program has gotten better and better.
Finally, football is getting the necessary facility upgrades it's needed for years.
Program, location, recruiting jotbed, academics, conference...
Bama is the only school in the SEC that has a better claim than UF.

AU in top 5 and I would take UT out. UT is the hardest of the 5 as the state of Tenn does not produce top tier SEC talent year in and year out like the Ala. Ga. Fl. and Texass.
top 6 in no order.
Al, UGA, AU, UF, LSU, TAMU. UT comes in 7.

Thats interesting - and I see what your saying. Curious where you think all these tiers belong nationally. I see UGA in the top ten or low teens. There are alot of variables I know - one negative for us has been administrative support - we''re the last in the SEC to get an IPC but are among the most wealthy Athletic Dept.

A&M is somewhere Top 7, but it depends on the coach. A lot of coaches would prefer Tennessee to be in the East, and it's close enough to recruiting Georgia and such. In addition, Tennessee is actually accessible to some of the other recruiting spots such as Ohio
A&M is always a good spot, and now it is a premium destination. Just not that special when breaking the SEC down, but outside of the SEC it ranks pretty high. I do not believe it is a T10 job which pisses all of the Aggies on TexAgs off
Alabama, Florida at the top
UGA, Auburn, LSU, A&M, and Tennessee in the next group

Alabama and Florida are tier 1
Georgia, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, and aTm are tier 2
That's about the only way to describe it, IMO.

I think this is pretty fair. I would put A&M ahead of UT and Auburn just due to facilities and recruiting grounds. Tennessee just doesn't have as good of a in-state recruiting ground as the other 5 and Auburn is second in the state.

Money - Not the wealthiest
Recruiting - Depends on the coach
Location - Not especially attractive
Academics - Average
A "cooperative" administration is just as important as any of those.Alabama and Auburn are
"All in" schoose who pretty have no restrictions
as far recruiting, player eligibility or standards are concerned.Clemson is in the same boat.
UGA and UF do not have those same advantages.UF cracked
down big time after the Urban fiasco.

They all recruit the same kids. UF and UGA have more thugs than most especially UF lately. UGA always uses this excuse to justify mediocrity.
The schools in the west just pay more because even the Mississippi schools are all in and drive up the price.
In the East only 3 or 4 schools are really committed to winning and have real expectations. Where as all 7 of the of the West schools are all in and have real expectations. Whether those expectations are realistic or not is another question.
