Campus Insiders
Granted, I don't know a lot about this site or how credible they are, but the list seems solid.
1. DE Myles Garrett, Texas A&M
4. RB Leonard Fournette, LSU
5. LB/DE Tim Williams, Alabama
7. OT Cam Robinson, Alabama
9. CB Jalen Tabor, Florida
10. DE Derek Barnett, Tennessee
11. LB Reuben Foster, Alabama
14. S Jamal Adams, LSU
16. CB Tre’Davious White, LSU
19. G Ethan Pocic, LSU
22. WR Malchi Dupre, LSU
23. DT Jonathan Allen, Alabama
24. DE Charles Harris, Missouri
25. DE Carl Lawson, Auburn
26. DT Davon Godchaux, LSU
30. TE O.J. Howard, Alabama
LB Kendall Beckwith, LSU
RB Nick Chubb, Georgia
S Tony Conner, Ole Miss
TE Evan Engram, Ole Miss
LB Rashaan Evans, Alabama
DE Jonathan Ford, Auburn
DT Da’Shawn Hand, Alabama
DE Marquis Haynes, Ole Miss
CB Eddie Jackson, Alabama
QB Chad Kelly, Ole Miss
That gives the SEC 16 of the top 32, and 26 of the top 52. The conference is never short on talent, but this next year is absolutely loaded and could be special.
Who do you predict to rise and fall from this list. I know inevitably this will turn into a flame fest, but hopefully some real discussion could be had.
Risers-
Carl Lawson. If he stays healthy, I think he's top 10-15
Da'Shawn Hand. I think he's more athletic than the guys he was backing up, which bodes better for the NFL draft. With more PT, I expect him to shoot up.
Fallers-
Reuben Foster. 11 just seems very high for an inside linebacker. I think Foster is going to have to have a truly special season to warrant top 20 status, and while it's possible, I don't see it happending
Ethan Pocic. Versatility is a great attribute for a prospect. Unfortunately, if the versatility does not include any college experience at tackle, it will be incredibly hard to stay in the first round for a guard/center.

We are supposed to have 7 go in the first round! List is shite

If Chubb shows no ill-affect of his injury he'll shoot up, much like Lawson. But still likely no better than the 2nd RB taken.
Am I alone in thinking Myles Garrett could very well be fools gold?

He's been fools gold when entering sec play his whole career

I feel like this is a popular sentiment on this board, but I do not share it.
He is an incredibly gifted pass rusher. 6'5 260 pounds, will run in the 4.5-4.6 range. His knock is his run defense. It doesn't help him that A&M overall has a poor run defense, so he doesn't get a lot of help in that regard and is exposed more, especially in a run heavy league. But as a pass rusher he is elite and special, which will pay huge dividends in the NFL.

I agree he will improve his stock, but how much? RB is already a devalued position, and this current class is already pretty loaded. I think LF and Cook are better NFL prospects than a fully healthy Chubb. And then you add in the injury red flag which I think would still be there for a team. Unfortunate because Chubb is good enough to be the top back in most drafts, just a very tough class.

This has been true, especially early in his career. But you can't knock an 18 year old for being little early in his career. I've heard his rush defense has come a long way, and the stronger and more developed he gets, I think the sky is the limit for this kid. Julius Peppers 2.0

Damontre Moore 2.0

I think Tre'Davious White is slightly overrated. He's not a bad corner, but I don't know if he's a lock to go in the first round. I could see him falling.

He's more Von Miller than Damontre Moore.

LOL at not having Jalen Reeves Maybin or Cam Sutton on the list anywhere.

While slightly over rated at mid 1st could be true, "Hes not a bad corner" isn't how I would word it. Considering there are probably at least 800+ D1 corners and he is more than likely top 8 at the moment, so top 1%
He is an excellent corner back, the best we have had since he stepped foot on campus. Being 5'10-5'11 could push him late first or early second however.

I like White, but I've never seen his as a shutdown first round lock. Maybe it's because we're used to guys like Mo, PP7, TM7 who were better in college, and we can't see him in that category of player.

pro football focus had Barnett going number 3 overall in their list yesterday.
they also had Sutton going 24, I think.

The last 3-4 games of the season last year, Reuben Foster had pasted Reggie Ragland as the best linebacker on the team for Bama. Remains to be seen if Foster is the leader that Ragland was, but based on pure talent Foster is probably the best inside linebacker Saban has had at Bama. He is also good in pass coverage, for a linebacker.

I think that's most people's problem with white. What you have to realize is PP7 and Mo were top 6 overall picks, franchise corners... And Tyran was a heisman finalist at corner.
All of those things are extremely rare, but 1st round corners aren't.
White doesn't have the wow plays but is always in great position and is a great corner back. The best at DBU since he stepped foot on campus, so for 4 years straight

Fred Ross is the only State guy I could see going in the 1st. Hopefully our QBs will be somewhat competent enough to get him the ball.
