Who's that/what do they play

Maybin was the guy with 21 tackles against Oklahoma, 11 against Alabama and 10 against Arkansas. That's 42 tackles in 3 games against opponents with strong ground games.

The question on Maybin is does he have any setback from off-season surgery.

Agree on Carl Lawson. He could easily be a top five pick if he plays up to his potential. Also think Tim Williams could rise to number 1 overall if he can prove he is a three down player.

Fournette is going to be the first RB taken but I think NFL teams are moving away from taking RBs so early this year notwithstanding. Not buying Charles Harris in the first round.

Marlon Humphrey is a guy that could come out of nowhere to be drafted really high if he comes out. If he shows out this year I wouldn't be shocked if he decides to leave early.

Another out of nowhere as a longshot high draft pick for us is Bo Scarborough.

Robert Foster also, the kid has all the tools that the NFL looks for in a receiver.

That list leaves off Deatrich Wise, who will be our first 1st round draft pick since '08. Now you know.

Still pains me to see Tim Williams dominating at Alabama. God I wish we had him.

He is an excellent corner back, the best we have had since he stepped foot on campus.

Excellent no doubt, but Rashard Robinson was better in 2014 and I think Tolliver will prove to be better this year.

I agree with you though, White is an elite corner.

Hopefully none of those LSU guys are as big of a bust as Morris Claiborne was, good God what a bust.

Agree to disagree, no worries.

White started over Robinson as fr, was the better overall corner imo.
Their soph years white was 1 with Robinson fighting Collins for 2nd corner.
Robinson matched up better w Mike Evans, that game is what made a name for Robinson. If you rewatch it though Manziel was not comfortable being kept in the pocket and was off all game, and it was raining. He was looking where to run not downfield.

Robinson never really impressed me overall like he did some people, he had a lot of work to do but potential was there.

I predict white to have a better NFL career.

Also while toliver might be the better corner in the long run. He wasn't last year, and the jury is out for next year. I think you still see white matching up on the other teams #1 until toliver proves otherwise. Thus I stand by my statement that white has been the best cover guy on every LSU team he has played on

I think Tre'Davious White is slightly overrated. He's not a bad corner, but I don't know if he's a lock to go in the first round. I could see him falling.

Lists like this are often heavily dominated by names from big schools. As the process plays out lesser known names will rise up the mock drafts. I don't see any way that 18 SEC players go in the first round. That number is pretty absurdly high.

I feel like this is a popular sentiment on this board, but I do not share it.

He is an incredibly gifted pass rusher. 6'5 260 pounds, will run in the 4.5-4.6 range. His knock is his run defense. It doesn't help him that A&M overall has a poor run defense, so he doesn't get a lot of help in that regard and is exposed more, especially in a run heavy league. But as a pass rusher he is elite and special, which will pay huge dividends in the NFL.

Agreed. Also, he hasn't had the stability at DC that would allow him to really showcase his ability. Chavis is good, but it seems like he's cobbling the defense together for immediate results and using Garrett almost as a wildcard until he can get a few classes under his belt. Obviously Garrett will be long gone by then, of course.

Um what the actual frick?

All we heard when Chavis was hired was how our pass rush production would go the way of the dodo bird.

Chavis allowing Garrett to do his thing is one of the reasons Garrett is the number 1 ranked SEC draft prospect.

That last part is actually part of what I said. As for the rest, I was praising Chavis but pointing out that he had to implement a new scheme to replace an extraordinarily mediocre one that had been in place for the entire defense.

So that's what the actual frick. Thanks for giving me a chance to clarify what the actual frick was.
