I think Josh Mcdaniels would be good, but short term before he bolted for the right NFL gig.

Wildcard: Franklin, who has done well at vandy and gotten PSU back on track

Bob Stitt
Willie Fritz
Pat Narduzzi

Different reasons for all. For example I think Fritz is a highly effective coach who's done well at every stop along the way. Think he is also past 50, so if he does move from Tulane where he goes to will be his last stop. Not sure what his past couple of years have been like there, but I was really impressed with what he did at Georgia Southern.

Think Narduzzi is a very similar guy to Smart. Pitt isn't so hot this year, but I think they have the right guy. And hey, they were the only team to beat Clemson last year.

Bob Stitt is the Hail Mary guy. Come on, when Mike Leach and Belichick copy you, well that's something. Coaches talk about tailoring the offense to their players, this guy does it.

Not sure how what he does translates to the Southeast though. Pretty sure he has spent his whole career West of the Mississippi. But if you want a card carrying genius playcaller, he is the guy. Petrino, Malzahn, Herman, all weak sauce compared to him.

I would say Leach is one of the most moral coaches out there.

Franklin is making bank right now, he'd be a great choice but there's no way we can pull him, Dabo or even Jumbo right now.

Why is Leach immoral? If anything, by locking Craig James' kid in a closet, he probably saved several hooker's lives.

3. Belichek - I know he has not been a college coach but he has coached Tom Brady who I heard was friends with Scot Loffler.

We are broke at State. I think we could steal Fleck from Minnesota.
