They screwed up my parlay last week cost me 180 dollar win. So they are...because screw them.

Good of a reason as any, I guess. They did beat an FCS team without needed overtime. More than can be said for some teams.

Honestly...I'll alter the rankings. You two have made fair points and I'm not a stubborn man.

Florida beat ECU 31-24. We still have no idea how good Ole Miss really is. Ole Miss could easily be a 8-4/7-5 team and then the beatdown means nothing

I have watched all of OUs games and they should have a few rough games.

Good team, not great right now. Don't know if they can beat Baylor or TCU.

I think WVU is a solid team. That game really impressed me. Add in their young QB grew up vs Tenn and showed he's a winner.

I think they can beat TCU in Norman.

Baylor in Waco doesn't look promising.

I think they can be 11-1, and maybe find themselves in a three-way tie with TCU/Baylor.

That top 10 is actually pretty good if you forgot about the names of the teams and preseason expectations and graded them purely based on the on the field performance this year.

They have a pretty decent defense.

Yeah, I really don't even think Tennessee did much to blow that game. Oklahoma made some amazing throw/catches on offense to win it.

So Alabama is on the list but not the team that is 1-1 against teams on this list. Interesting. TAOM.

Legit top 10 teams rarely lose any game by 4 TD's.

I need to be a bookie.

How does one become a bookie?

And to the OP. List is as good as any. Even though 5 weeks in to the season, it's not easy to determine since so many teams have played a majority of games against garbage.

They did, but the fact that UT has made a serious habit of blowing leads suggests that they shoulder some of the blame.

I'll deny it if ever asked, but I think UT has been pretty strong this season. You have to get a serious lead in order to blow it, and they've done that. Youth is killing them because experience is what allows teams to hold onto a lead late in the game.

I do one five team parlay for craps and giggles.
I've hit on one so far this year.

That means I'm WAY over the price i've payed vs what I've won so far. I stick to one game bets most of the time but it's okay to have fun and take a shot in the dark. I went 4-1....but made up that money because I picked all five on regular single bets as well. Was my best week of the season, last week was brutal ;/

Lot of domino effect going on with the overrated Ole Miss equation. They won a fluke game against Bama with 5 turnovers and a fluke play at the end and vaulted 11 spots into the top 5 which was a knee jerk over-reaction. They had no business being there. In a game where they didn't have the benefit of 5 turnovers and a pass bounce off of somebody's face mask into a WRs hands for a score, they were turd stomped.
Florida, you crushed a highly over-rated team that got over-rated last season as well and you vaulted 13 spots in the polls. Another knee-jerk over-reaction. Ole Miss embarrassed the pollsters last year when they couldn't deliver and they will against this year. Calm down. That doesn't mean you're top 5.

Georgia has no business being ranked in the top 10 pre-season, ever. Bama crushing them was no surprise to me. They were getting by on, yet again, being over-rated without any justification for their ranking other than media beta-males in the AP jerking off to their SEC program guides prior to the start of the season wanting to fill the top 25 with your entire conference so they can oooh and ahhh. Georgia is one-dimensional and will lose a couple more games and so will Ole Miss, so I'm not impressed by anybody curb stomping either Ole Miss or Georgia.

Oklahoma isn't a top 5 team by any stretch of the imagination.

maybe. but they will need a lot to fall their way. Just don't trust their qb right now.

They def blew the Florida game hard. I just think Oklahoma went and took it from them.

Didn't see much of the Arkansas game. All I know is that's a game they need to win at home.

Who has beaten who? I can agree categorically to what you are saying.
Anybody in the big 12 who puts a feather in your cap for besting a Charlie Strong led Texas team needs to quit watching football. Ohio State at #1 is a complete joke. Not only have they've not looked good, they haven't played the best in their own conference. Easily could say they've played, maybe the 4th or 5th best behind NW, Michigan, MSU, and maybe Wisconsin or Iowa. One could even argue they haven't played the best in their own state with Toledos play.

So at this point who has clearly shown they are the better team? I don't necessarily think they should be #1 right now either, but I can't think of anyone that compels me to put them in Ohio State's spot.
