I love the willful ignorance.

If you beat 4 crappy teams by 1 point on a last second FG or in OT it says a lot about your team vs. beating those same 4 crappy teams by 30.

Sure, the record is 4-0 in both cases, but it ain't the damn same when it comes to predicting the future.

This. See ND from last year. They had fans really expecting to play a good game against Alabama. The rest of the world knew what was coming.

yes all great teams need a certain amount of luck to make it to title games

we all know this and have seen it in the past seasons

Auburn is better than they have been in awhile

Bama is still probably better

And not one person has argued against that premise in this thread.

The Vegas lines are the only thing to go by, as they are free of homer'ism and strictly business.

Auburn has conintued to prove vegas wrong nearly every week... most the games haven't even been close (5-0 ATS the last five games)

4 point dog to Ole Miss... Win by 8
13 point dog to A&M... win by 4
24 point favorite over FAU... win by 35

AU has been undervalued, and by the look of this week's line, continues to be so...

And those lines are set with the intent to encourage people to place bets and yet still e
tilt the odds to the points that the betters lose their money to their employers.

In other words, the lines are NOT set in order to predict who will be victorious in an athletic event.

I think the point is many(not all) bama fans seem to try to make it a goal in life to knock down and discredit Auburn. Rather than focus on Bama. several have shown their face in this thread

hell Auburn looks good

no need to let this make us feel insecure about our own team who looks good

again though way too early for any back and forth on this game

we could both have a three game stretch like Georgia had and both be playing backups at every position
