Too Early? Iron Bowl and "How Far" Auburn has come

Look--i know it's still a ways out, but i'd like to talk about Auburn's surprising year and their greatest test at the end of the season--an Iron Bowl matchup with what will likely be top 5 if not still No. 1 Alabama.
Let me first say that I think Gus to Auburn is a magnificent hire for that program. He is an aggressive playcaller who will get some serious talent to Auburn over the next couple of years and I am glad to see them getting back to where they were in the early 2000's..
I think Auburn's defense is good, if not overrated. Granted, LSU trashed them early in the year, and Texas A&M put 41 on them--i still think they will be up for this game. However, it's their offense that I worry about when going against the likes of Alabama. Let's not kid ourselves here--Bama still has the best defense in the conference. Auburn was able to score some late touchdowns against LSU, and they are the second best defense Auburn will have played all year.
With the way Bama is playing, I really only see this one being close for the first quarter. Granted i will be rooting for Auburn to win(i just like rooting for the underdog in games that don't involve LSU), I think Bama wins by a tune of 37-17 with suffocating defense and an offense that wears on that Auburn defensive line late in the game for a few scores to pad the lead
Feel free to critique, bash, TL;DR , etc.

We don't want to talk about Bama. Thats for LSU
We are dealing with the Pigs this weekend.

you're putting too much emphasis on the AU/LSU game (which is understandable if you're an lsu fan)... we've come a long way since then. Sure, we struggled in the 1st half but that doesn't mean we'll get blown out in a game 2 months removed from the game in Tiger Stadium.

Although Auburn's running game is very impressive, I think Alabama will find a way to make Auburn pass more than they want to and Marshall won't be able to win the game for them. It should be a much better game than the last two, but my guess is Alabama is favored by a couple of TDs and wins by double digits.

Against really talented defenses Auburn is at a disadvantage. Saban knows they're a running team and will scheme to stop the run, playing man coverage. There is inexperience at QB, and Saban will take advantage of that. Bottom line is, Auburn will have to get extremely lucky to beat Bama. Possible, but not likely. I give Arky about a 40% chance of pulling the upset Saturday. Tennessee about a 45% chance. If UGA doesn't get any more cripples, about a 60% chance of beating them, and Alabama about an 85% chance.

I'll wait to see how AU does in its next three games before I start making any predictions or try to tell you that you are wrong.

There is only one common opponent between AU and Arky, and that's TAMU. If JFF doesn't get hurt with a 10 point TAMU lead, TAMU wins that game. TAMU intercepted a pass for a pick 6 late in the game against Arky to win that game. Looking at it reasonably, this game will go down to the wire.

Your predictions have been pretty shitty so far, you should probably give up.

That won't happen, not rotating in 11 d-linemen. The opposite actually occurs.

Beer, you've been wrong about everything AU this season. It's time to hang up the AU predictions because you're awful at them.

You have 8 other lineman as good as the starters?

It could go down to the wire, but applying the transitive property in one common opponent isn't really looking at it reasonably.

I did not see our rush D decline against A&M when we rotated so...yes.

Auburn has exceeded their own expectations.
They're dangerous.
The Iron Bowl will be competitive.

Experienced upperclassmen and phenom freshman, they'll be fine. The rotation has worked very well, especially late in the game.
