its reasonable to think we have a small drop off in secondary early in the year but by late in the year it wont be much different.

imo this team is gonna be hungry and on a mission to finish. Also with our offense being better it can help the d since it wont be relied on to win games. The only game I see being less than a two td beat down is bama.

brockers is easy to replace because our dline is fricking stacked. our d wasn't a normal d last year we rotate so much and are so deep that losing one or two guys wont hurt us.
plus imo dline is one of the easiest spots to replace a player. if any loss hurts us its mo but we have simon and our young guys have stepped up every year so im not worried.

fwiw bama had the edge in new orleans because of losing the first game. when 2 teams as good as we both were last year the one that loses the first has the edge over the second. I thought maybe home field could over come that but it couldn't.

Sometimes a team loses because they weren't the better team that day. It's hard to believe but it is true.

eh saban out coached miles badly on 1/9. it started 40 days leading up to the game and then all night he just worked him. His team was focused and ready to go while half our team lodged their heads up their asses

LSU is returning a great deal of talent (both experienced and new potential). They should be ranked in the preseason top 2. The same goes for Alabama but I can understand dropping them to #3.

Once Alabama gets to week 4 (should their record still be unblimished) it will be a fun run to Tiger Stadium. Hopefully that game will still be a top 2 or top 3 battle. By the SEC Championship game I fully expect LSU and Alabama to be playing as the top 2 teams in the country and hope they both are still ranked that high. My hope is that both teams will end up in Miami for a rematch again if for no other reason than to stick an SEC finger in the rest of college football's eye.

September cannot get here soon enough.

So Lsu only needs to make up 18 points, not an impossible feat by any stretch. And it's in Death Valley.

No it's 1-1 . LSU's win was a defacto CCG while Bama's win was BCS CG. 2012 is new year. In 2012 doesn't Hogs have opportunity to beat both these clubs?

Should be strong up front but losing brockers, Cooper, Taylor, Claiborne will be harder to replace than what Bama lost on D.. Even though Bama lost better players

The only offensive line that was able to handle the LSU D front last year was Alabama's. And that line has a very good chance to be the best in the country.

Lots of experience returns up front for Alabama on D too. We got the best of it up front last time and Mett can't beat us if you can't protect him and you can't run.

Uh huh. And if Bama can't run against LSU like they couldn't in November in BDS then they will sure as hell have a tough time in Tiger Stadium

its pretty easy to shut down an o when it has no hope of passing the ball. mett wont need long to pick you apart and that will open up running lanes.

No you didn't.Mc Carron had plenty of time to throw the ball and we were able to run the ball enough.

Jefferson got run out of the pocket sacked and hurried and you couldn't run in the BCS game much at all.

And Mett won;t be able to stand back there. Saban will see to that.

what about in the november game when trent couldnt run anywhere? And now you are left with fat slow backup RBs who get turf toe getting out of bed.

Richardson was NOT shut down. Look at total yardage he got a ton vs you in the first game. 189 Total is hardly "shut down"

Bottom line you are up against a team as good or better than you up front on both sides.

Eddie Lacy will be good to go and he and the others will be running behind the best there is.
