The new arena looks really nice. This was a move that was long overdue.

With storms rolling in. What's the weather forecast tonight in the Tad Pad?

Did they win more than they lost there?

It's being torn down though it won't be immediately as I think they want to finalize plans on what their going to build on where it was 1st before they tear it down.
That sentence was a little tricky. But I gotcha.

I went to most games when I was in school. They Rahim Lockhart years were a lot of fun.
Having said that, my new favorite memory will be when they tear that sucker down.

Yeah I worded that really weirdly

For a place im so ready to be gone a lot of memories are flooding back to me.
I had my first basketball camps in that building at 10 years old, I learned to spider dribble and reverse layup.
I went hard for a rebound and collided heads with afellow camper. After ten seconds I saw blood dripping on the floor reached up to my temple and felt the sting. Got 5 stitches in the training room the other guy had to get 3 on his eye socket just like me.
I bled on that court.
I won the science fair there when I was 9 or so.
the state championship science fairs were held there.
I also had some 3rd and sixth place finishes in other years.
During rush we would meet outside the tad pad before going to the houses. Blazer khakis and all.
I also remember the elation of Clarence Sanders ( flava flav as we nick named him for his similarity in appearance ) hit the 3 pointer in the corner to beat LSU at home in a game we were supposed to lose by a lot.
Onward and upward, may you live forever in the memory of those you sheltered tad smith coliseum.
Long Live the Pavillion! ( just not the same longevity of the Tad pad )

Power outages
FedEx Forum had a power outage last week. Total POS IMHO.

, it had a fricking chimney
because it had a boiler. Those kind of need a chimney. Lots of large buildings built back then had boilers.

The LSU Tigers handing Ole Miss their worst ever loss in the Tad, 97-53 in 2000.

New arena or are y'all giving up on basketball?
Posted on 12/22/15 at 10:35 am to DingDongEddieStrong
Will be missed.

We've been to the Dance 2 out of the last three years and won a game each time.
...obviously we're giving up on basketball...

The Tad Pad was crappy...it's ok to admit that you hillbilly.

I never said it wasn't crappy. Just pointing out that power outages aren't only exclusive to the Tad Pad.

The more amazing thing is not that it is crappy but just how long it has been bad. I don't really remember a time when it was considered nice.

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) Ole Miss guard Clarence Sanders has made a habit of hitting important shots this season, but none was more important than his final basket Wednesday in a 71-70 win over LSU. "I knew it was good when it left my hand," said Sanders after hitting a game-winning 17-foot jumper with less than a second remaining. "It's a big win for us, but we're still not satisfied." The win pushed Ole Miss (17-8, 6-5) into sole possession of first place in the SEC Western Division and extended a four-game winning streak. The Rebels improved to 13-1 at home and snapped a six-game losing streak to LSU.
