Like so many morons on this board before you...the athletic department is separate from the university. But you knew that.

Retarded thread. Mizzou is probably a top 5 SEC job.
1. UK
2. Arkansas
3. Tennessee
4. Florida
5. Mizzou
That list isn't based on ancient tradition either, it's based on fan support, recruiting potential, basketball facilities, etc.
Mizzou is a basketball first school and can pack their 15k seat arena. LSU has a terrible, outdated arena, zero fan support and it's the 4th most popular sport down there. Even when they went to the tourney a few years ago, they were only getting 5k people in their arena. Look on tiger rant. fricking baseball threads get over a hundred pages, while basketball threads will be lucky to break 10 pages and that was when they were good a few years ago.

probably bought season tickets, that they counted toward the total attendance each game. No damn way was that arena nearly sold out every game last year

You'll hire a mid major guy or an asst. will probably pay him less than your DC makes. Sucks too, because LSU used to be a very solid program but they have become so obsessed with "beating Bama" in football they don't care about basketball anymore.
And how in the everloving F do YOUUUUUUUU know this ???
Do you have an office with F. King Alexander or Joe Alleva?
- Jones' buyout is not that much.
- LSU WILL play to have the Men's Basketball program MAKE MONEY - like it has done before.
- The University and Athletic Dept are not "broke" or "poors."
- Neither are the State's industries in tourism, oil and gas, agriculture, and seafood.
- Now Louisiana State Government? No, it is not doing so hot at the moment, but hopefully Edwards will do what he can to try and balance the budget.

Their capacity % was much better than your beloved Gamecocks.
LSU - 18 home games - 13215 capacity - 11382 average - 86.1% capacity
South Carolina 19 home games - 18000 capacity - 11995 average - 66.3% capacity

You're bad at this. LSU counts their total sold and season tickets towards games. The actual attendance is much, much lower.

Best jobs in the SEC due to support-recruitment in back yard-facilities (practice/arena/living quarters, etc)
1. Kentucky
2. Florida
3. Arkansas
4. LSU
5. Tennessee/Mizzou (backyard with talent in St Louis).

LSU would have been a top 5 job in the 80's and 90's, but their fan support and arena are absolutely terrible. No coach will want to play second fiddle behind football and baseball. I honestly hope they hire a good mid major, to get the league even better though.

The PMAC is not the reason why coaches did not flock to LSU last Go around It is because Dale Brown and his puppets were dictating and forcing Johnny Jones to be in the seat. Alleva has no balls and he needs to sack up and make his call. He needs to use his Duke connections and go snag Chris Collins before someone else does. Oh, if they are winning, they would have the 2cd best fan support with Arkansas. Deaf Dome can get magical when the are winning.
And by the way, how can anyone take you serious with your shitty takes? You said:
The Cocks would win the SEC and Frank was making them elite. WELP
Florida is not even a 2cd best team in the SEC. WELP
Kentucky sucks and they would lose at least 4 games in the SEC. WELP
Mike White sucks as a coach. WELP
