This isn't a rebuild job like Georgia or Louisville. When Dan fricking Mullen offers you to the keys to the Ferrari that is MSU football you take it.

Well coming from a Georgia fan I'm sure you wouldn't think so.

Third and Grantham is a thing, FYI. Y'all have fun with that.

I'm saying he may take a small cut in pay to get back in the SEC

Why?

Grantham may have a kid that dreams of being an NFL QB.

Grantham will flourish at state Georgia was holding him back.

Seems like he has really good schemes for one half, and then the other half is a complete disaster.

Don't worry. Georgia will be a cake walk for State next year.

Do you not understand what I meant, when I said "huge improvement"? Our defense ranked in the 120's in '16. We would have been better off with no DC last season. Grantham's worst defense ever was ranked like 65th.

Well I'll be... then yes, Grantham would be a huge improvement for you guys. He comes at a steep cost though.

Grantham's defenses have been pretty good at UL all 3 seasons spent there

Clarion Ledger is reporting Grantham will be named. Good hire for State.

That was a serious question. Grantham's 3-4 is all about size up front with big time edge rushers, paired with experience in the secondary. Does MSU have that?

Getting to watch an entire defense look baffled pre-snap is going to be fun to watch again.

Returning 4 starters from a defense that was not very good. Its a rebuild job, but there is some talent. Built for the 3-4, so that fits Grantham.

State went 6-7 and lost three games on the final play of the game and another by a FG. The schedule is more favorable next year - 8 wins should be the floor.

This won't be the first time that Grantham gets to coach two of our former players at another school.
