Agreed, plus Mullen is at least invested in making a difference while here in the state. As non-native Mississippians, it's nice to see their commitment to the children of the great state of Mississippi.

Many of you people were wanting Freeze gone after Memphis. Lol
Things will..at some point, unravel at Ole Miss, if he doesn't leave for another job. Freeze likely won't be in Oxford any longer than Mullen stays in Starkville, and Mullen already has 3 years on him.

He's recruiting at an incredibly high level right now. And Mullen is recruiting on the same level as a school that had it's football program shut down momentarily.
But continue on comparing Freeze/OM to Mullen/MSU.
If Freeze leaves before Mullen it's because he gets money-whipped and MSU can't justify firing a guy that wins 6-7 games a year.

State fans are major league butt-hurt because Sheriff Freeze has come to town and won three of the last four, and they are lucky he hasn't won all four. This, after Mullen promised, as Jackie Sherrill did, that he would never lose to Ole Miss. Sherrill finished around .500 against Ole Miss. After next year's Egg Bowl, Mullen will be .500, too. Writing is on the wall, and the Cow Patties don't like it.

Good point. Mullen's not far off that overall mark, either. And he may get right there after the 2016 season. Yo, Dan! Keep sending out those resumes. Maybe someone will bite.

What makes you say that, besides the fact you want it to happen and dont want to live in a world where it doesnt?
-Freeze proved that 2013 was not a fluke with this in coming class. So talent wont be the reason it unravels.
-The NCAA took up shop in Oxford for 3 years and found nothing on the recruitment of said 2013 class. ED predicted that we would no longer be able to recruit at an elite level because the NCAA would be sniffing around. This is proven also to be incorrect given the 2016 class.
- I do not necessary buy that Freeze grew up just loving OM. I do think he takes more pride in his job because he is MS raised. Given that I did believe it would be possible for another school to take him away. Those three jobs were Florida, UGA, and Texas. He has already turned down the scariest of those jobs that could take him away in Florida. OM is in a position to pay him 6 million. Texas is the only school that I could ever imagine offering so much more than that that he would have to leave. Would I put the odds at 100% that Freeze retires a Reb? No, but it would take a very strange situation for someone to pull him out of Oxford. His sales pitch is of love and commitment to his family, players, and university. He loses that a little bit if he leaves the school he grew up less than an hour from. Just like you guys trying to predict that Fitz is going to light the SEC up, I may be bias in assuming he wouldnt take the Texas job if offered, but at least it is based off of the fact he already turned down the most attractive SEC job.
-Freeze has had to recruit against the 8 ball. He came in losing 3 in a row and 4 out of 5 to state. He's now got the edge in the state. His recruiting instate will improve. He had to sell a 2 win bottom cellar and now he gets to sell back to back access bowls. Only Bama, Mich State, and OSU have been better over the combined past two years. Essentially what I am saying is the job just got a lot easier for him, so why leave? How can you say we will unravel when we havent even peaked yet?

I agree, an 18-7 record over 2 seasons is excellent by Landmass standards.

Freeze has no intention of settling for anything less than winning the SEC and going to the playoffs. Very close this year. Not worried about his ability to get OM there.
