These are the lies that Aggies repeat to themselves.

So which season was LSU's offense ranked higher than it's defense under Chavis's tenure?

There weren't a lot of great potential hires at the time.

Top 15 defense, top 30 offense. Unless I'm looking at the wrong 2013.

Stats are great for people that don't actually watch the games.

End of the debate will start when ASU hangs fity

I don't think Aggy is even thinking about this game to open the season. ASU is going to throw the ball all over the place. Chavis will be tested from jump.

Bad timing for Pelini to leave. I think ppl forget how horrible Pelini was at roster management too.

Still, it proves my point that Miles seems to always make a WTF hire that doesn't pan out before filling the position with a quality hire.

From Crowton to Stud was another. I know he brought in Kragthorpe first, but extenuating circumstances prevented him from ever calling a game as LSU's OC.

I don't really understand third and Chavis, below is the 3rd down conversion of opponents ranking. Is it because Alabama couldn't be stopped on game winning drives twice, and now fans perceive him that way like Romo can't handle pressure?

2014 - 31st
2013 - 53rd
2012 - 12th
2011 - 19th
2010 - 16th
2009 - 39th

Cam Cameron has been the OC for 2 years. The first year he had a wealth of experienced players. The second year, over 85% of the offensive production was gone and was replaced by freshmen and sophomores.

In those two seasons Chavis defense was ranked 15 and 8. The Cameron offense was ranked 33 and 75.

Whatever your rationalization is, you're ignoring reality.

You don't understand, you have to watch the games to understand the genius of their offense

UT fans can tell you about it seeing as they coined it before he ever got to LSU.

I've watched LSU plenty and I've never once thought I was watching a team with an offensive unit better than their defense. But the bar for a good offense is Baton Rouge is so low, I can understand your confusion.

I see you neglected the actual statistics and facts in my post, therefore, it must be a perception nickname then. Thank you, that's what I figured. Butt hurt fans like to do that.

3rd and Chavis never really materialized at LSU like it did at Tennessee. Here, his 2 minute drill was a partial birth abortion.

That, and we haven't generated any pressure on the interior line since Brockers.

The Kevin Steele thread was deleted. Discussing the LSU DC is not allowed here on the rant drippings.

Are you stupid? You said that the offense has been stagnant. You put too much faith into rankings.

LSU had elite talent on defense in 2013 and 2014. We could've had a national championship in 2013 had Chavis' D been able to stop opponents.

Then you try to say the offense is the problem yet we were ranked 33rd in 2013 with a ground and pound ball control offense.

The guy who got 70 hung on him at his last DC stop and got fired by Clemson two years ago.

Nebraska's defenses haven't been great the past few seasons either. Remember Wisconsin drubbing Nebraska 70-31 in the 2012 BIG 10 Championship game?

LSU ranked between 80th and 112th in total offense in five of the six seasons Chavis was in Baton Rouge. The Tigers posted at least nine victories in five of those seasons. They weren’t winning because of their mundane offense. Hey, even in 2013 when the Tigers' offense was filled with NFL talent like Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Jeremy Hill, Zach Mettenberger and La'el Collins, LSU ranked just 35th in the nation. While LSU’s offense typically floundered, the defense flourished under Chavis’ direction. LSU allowed fewer than 20 points per game in five of Chavis’ six seasons. They allowed 22 points in the other season. LSU never ranked lower than 21st nationally in scoring defense under Chavis. Even that third-and-Chavis rap is bogus. Three times under Chavis LSU was ranked in the top 20 in third down defensive efficiency. In two other seasons they were in the top 40.
