Really? Last time i checked kids were stranded in schools overnight because the whole city ignored the impending snow.

OOOOOOOk... so you can win BCS Championships but aren't smart enough to just slow down when the roads are slick, be proud of that.

I live in central mississippi. In high school I would attend the manning camp 06'-08'. The Yankees couldn't make it through a practice without falling out and acting like a bunch of PYs. For us southern boys it was just another July day. We let em know it too.

First of all, it wasn't a hurricane when it hit. That is why the term Super storm was invented. To make northerners feel better about their shitty response. Also, every summer people die up north when a heat wave hits because they aren't prepared to handle it

Same here. I've lived in Minnesota my whole life and the worst driving conditions I've ever experienced was going from Atlanta to Auburn. The roads were glare ice, but I was impressed with the way people drove. The big difference is that you don't have numerous plows to salt/sand your roads. Why would you when it rarely snows there?
While our summers aren't as hot as in the Deep South, we had many days last summer with higher heat and humidity than Alabama. We do have days of over 100 degrees and stifling humidity. Yes, everyone I know has AC. The deaths you hear about are mainly poor people in inner cities who can't afford it.

Wow, you really don't believe that, do you? Pretty sure most of the people stranded on the roads in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Atlanta were from the South, since they're the ones who don't know how to drive in 3 inches of snow.

Speak for yourselves. There was nary a problem for the 2 million people that live in SE Louisiana and coastal Miss.,because we prepared for the freezing ice and sleet on the highways. No fatalities or injuries; indeed very few accidents at all. No one stranded in school, buses or on interstates.
