He has coached 2 #1 overall picks at QB in the NFL draft in a span of 8 years..

Find me another coach that has done that..

I will hang up and listen

I understand the sentiment Catman, but 12-15 million dollars? That's a lot to make a GOOD coach go away. What makes LSU fans think that Jimbo wants to leave FSU, in all seriousness?

It's a better job.

The only thing FSU has on LSU is a schedule full of basketball schools. I could see that getting boring real fast for a competitor like Jimbo. The SEC is where it's at.

Well we have to wait and see about Jimbo.

1) I don't believe LSU makes the move to fire Miles without a coach already in the books.

2) Many believe he has already accepted the job.

Or he can stay in a much easier conference with a better chance to get to the Natl. Championship each year and recruit the hell out of the state of FL.

Are these "many" trusted sources or is it the usual that every fanbase has?

I did, I just chose to ignore that part because that's a HUGE part of the discussion that you decided to OMIT.

I didn't omit it. I just don't think most coaches are looking for the "easy path". I think they want to play the best and challenge themselves week in, week out.

I haven't been following the Jimbo to LSU rumors, so if you say you have him in the bag like you say you do, then maybe it is time for a change. After all, you guys have really struggled at the QB position and you make good points that he can develop that position. You'll always be able to run the rock recruiting in the state of LA. I just think 12-15 mil is a BIG buyout.

"In the bag" is pushing it but there is some legit smoke. I'll believe it when I see it.

Regardless of Jimbo, it's time for fresh blood in BR. I love Les, he's been great for us, but the game has passed him by.

So does Les take some time away from coaching? Where do you think he goes next year?

No I think he'll take another job. Anybody's guess where. He'd be great for Mizzou or USCe IMO

Too bad your opinion counts for shite.

Keep your loser mentality in Oxford where it belongs.

You're ole miss because 8 win seasons are good enough.

Lsu wants better and will try to do what it takes

You're a little late to the party. I've already addressed this. Ignore it if you don't care. You obviously do though.

Would LSU fans view hiring Dan Mullen as a bad hire? Maybe it's the State of MS in me talking, but I think he'd be a great hire. Always done more with less.

Would be a great hire. I wonder about his personality being a fit a little but but he would be on my short list for sure.

Again a good number of LSU fans weren't around pre-Saban. They have no idea how bad they were. I'll never forget when Gerry DiNardo got them to the Independence Bowl to face Nick Saban's Michigan State squad. That was a big deal for them.
