I understand that you guys are tired of the bad QB play and you don't enjoy 8 win seasons, but the fact that your AD is willing to pony up $12-15 to fire a pretty darn good coach is mind boggling to me, and even moreso that many Tiger fans agree with the move. You guys act like 8 win seasons are awful. That is still a good season. There are only two teams that play for the Championship each year and it's not going to be you all the time. Your team was young this year and would have improved a ton over the next two years. All you would have needed to do is fire your OC, who is awful btw, and start recruiting Pro-Style QB's. I realize that this is just an opinion, but unless you have a home run hire, firing Miles is going to haunt you guys for quite a few years. You guys have been spoiled and you don't even know it.

How do you know this wasn't mutual?

Our athletics director...
-Played college football
-Was a ga in college football
-Has an MBA from Lehigh
-led Duke to its most successful 10-year run in school history
-Has made some great decisions at LSU
-HAS THE MOST INTEL ON LES MILES BEHIND THE SCENES
and he thinks it's clear LSU football can do better. We're all under the assumption we have someone in place to come in, so if it's the right guy then the move was a good call. It should be very telling our AD with his background and knowledge of football thinks it's clearly time.

If you accept mediocrity, it's all you'll ever get.

$15 million could feed a lot of homeless kids. LSU doesn't give a frick about homeless kids. Damn shame and greedy.

With the recruits Miles brings in 8 wins is not Acceptable, especially when it's becoming the trend. He's squandering NFL talent. Worse, the losses are becoming blowouts.

The thing is, an 8-4 season is not a bad season, especially in the SEC West. That 8-4 season is also sandwiched around a Championship run or two and 9 and 10 win seasons.

It would be. Typically, Ole Miss has been a mid-tier SEC team and occasionally enjoys some semblance of hope they'll be more, only to be brought down to earth time and time again.
You'll never understand.

I watch college football to be entertained and watch great athletes do athletic things. Les Miles football is incredibly boring and minimizes the entertainment value of our insanely athletic team. I spend good money to watch one of the best players in the country run between the tackles every play. I can appreciate the fact that we're winning, but at this point I just want to enjoy watching my team play football again without struggling against every single team we play because we refuse to let our athletes do what they're good at

The other thing I wonder is why everyone wants to jump on the Jimbo train so easily. He had one of the best players in thew program's history starting at QB and won 1 national title. He also runs a crooked program and that's saying a lot when you compare it to LSU.

I Like Les and have supported him over the years... However, the trend since 2012 in the SEC has in fact been consistently in decline. This is why in spite of the fact I like Les I do think it is time for him to go...
All the other stuff about miles such as his antiquated offense, QB development, ect.. is just noise to me. its his record in the SEC that really matters.
Miles is a good guy and I truly wish him the best in the future.

With all due respect your points have nothing to do with him being let go. Google the SEC record over the past few years, Google the SEC West record over the past few years, Google the offensive rankings at the end of the season over the past few years. The man has been given a chance to correct the offense and he has done nothing, he's also hired friends as position coaches and coordinators that shite all over the bed, that's the reason and it shouldn't be so difficult to understand. 8 wins is fine every few years, but at LSU the expectations are a national championship run a couple of times every decade, that's just the way it is and unfortunately Les wasn't getting that done.

LSU has been young for 4 years now.
