I'm sure there are more than a few at lower level school's that would love the chance to coach at LSU, even if they knew it may not last more than a year.

How exciting

Small school coaches are small school coaches for a reason. A real up and comer is going to be smart enough to not walk into a 1 year lame duck situation.

But who has he really developed at the QB position??

Really?

Take a look at LSU QB's before Jimbo and after Jimbo..

He was pretty good while at AU too.

Booty and Rohan Davey went from nobodies to All-SEC under Jimbo.

Hmmm....our coach was at a few lower level school's and our offense looks pretty damn good this year. I know Freeze isn't calling the plays anymore but it's still his offense. All it takes is one good OC and a guy that can recruit good QB's! I don't think Felipe would have walked if Miles would have been assured of his job next year.

Freeze would not have taken the Ole Miss job on a 1 year deal

You really don't know anything about anything, do you?

please tell me you're trolling. 5 OC's later, same exact bullshite on offense. Yes, former players have said that he's heavily involved with offensive play calling

You have a point, but those guys weren't world-beaters either. They were pretty high profile recruits if I remember right. They also didn't turn in very good pro-career's so maybe it was the system. But ok, I'll give you this one. He can coach the QB position well.

Youre entire premise is that LSU fans should be "happy" with 4 and 5 loss seasons is pathetic. You can go ahead and exhale while you're at it because that's not ever going to happen.

I'm giving you an example of a coach that started at an NAIA school and ascended to a head coach you idiot. He was an OC along the way. I guarantee if he was the OC at Arky State and LSU offered him the job, even if it was only for 1 year possibly, he may have taken it. Good Gaawwwwd.

Yeah, because I said a few 8 win seasons surrounded by conference title runs and Natl. Championships was good ...you'll never learn.

Ok lets try this again because its been done at LSU 5 times already.. Miles does not relinquish control. You will never get an OC at LSU unless they have control over the offense. Miles calls plays and sets his philosophy. You cannot change the offense without changing the HC. I love Miles and wish him the best but LSU was going to have to get a new OC this year regardless. Cameron has cancer and was at end of contract.

It was hard enough to get a OC here knowing that Miles would take control. But add to that the fact that he was likely in his last year of coaching unless he won 10 games who does LSU get?

Nobody believes Les can get the program back to that level.

I know you want us to hang on to a coach you know you can beat but we're not going to Mack Brown ourselves by holding onto a past his prime coach too long, sorry to dissapoint you.
