did you have to talk to freakin homeland security?
no, but she was definitely very stupid. she thought she had a license to carry because she took a gun safety case . I had to show her my permit to show her what she needed to carry a concealed weapon and the steps she needed to take to get one. I understood why she carried because she had been a victim of a robbery in the past and lived alone. She just forgot to take it out of her purse before leaving for the airport.

Doesn't matter if it is in your car (and within reach) you've got to have a permit.
I know, didn't see anything about being in his vehicle in the OP.

I dont really give a shite about someones theory, the charges are what they are and they arent that bad so I'm good with them.

yeah, they are our biggest problem. I dont think they will be able to do much next year though when Constitutional Carry goes through, which I expect it to easily
I sympathize with their situation. In many counties, that money is very important to their budget.
Where I leave their train is when they lie about their reason for opposing the bill. They scream officer safety, ignoring the fact that officers in every state around Alabama deal with the situation just fine.
Oppose the bill because you need the money, fine. Just don't lie about the reason.

Not having a gun certainly didn't save him.
It has been pretty much proven that having strict guns laws or not, does not change crime rates over time. However, given the choice, I would rather have the option to carry.
Its in our constitution and a deterrent against other nations infringing on our sovereignty

What ?!? Saban will get the charges dropped and he wont even be suspended a quarter... What's there to 'have at' ?

The robbery in Nashville absolutely could have been prevented if the victim had a gun.
I mean maybe, it was a drive by. But tourists don't travel with firearms if they're traveling by plane.

Don't worry Williams will play. Saban only cares about winning. His players can rob someone and play the same week.

Wow... what a thug.
I'm so tired of seeing these Alabama players never use their head. Are they just stupid?
That dude is what, 6'4" 250lbs? Is he really such a pussy that he needs to carry a gun? Most people that big can protect themselves. Typical Bama softy.

Doesn't seem like you need him any game... he has like 5 tackles on the season ... y'all would surely miss his 1.25 per game

I wonder what the guy who claimed the weeds new job title is in the Bama Athletic department, taking a charge will surely be rewarded
Posted on 9/29/16 at 11:20 am to CapstoneGrad06
I think it may be more than one game. I suspect he did break team rules as well being out at that hour and that along with the charge will probably put him in a position to actually hurt the team in a critical game - or two..after UK.

You realize he's the best pass rusher in the country right? Who needs tackles when you're harassing the shite out of the quarterback?

I think a fair punishment is to bench him for the first quarter of the Kentucky game.

It's a misdemeanor in AL. $300 bond tells you how serious of a crime it is in this state.
In this state it could also mean that he had the weapon in his car and not on his person. The sheriff's in this state are fighting tooth and nail to keep it this way too because they get the money from the permits. Every state around AL does not require a permit to have a weapon in your vehicle. Then again, I do not know the particulars of his case. Just a pet peeve of mine regarding AL law.
ETA: no you do not forfeit the gun in cases like this.
