As you're currently demonstrating, Alabama fans are also well known for their ignorance of college football history outside their own team

I have been there several times. Tiger Stadium is fun but its not any louder than any other Big 6 SEC stadium.

Agree. So is Neyland with the Vol Navy and 101K fans sitting in 80K worth of space. So is A&M with the 12th man. So is AU with the Tiger Walk and the Eagle flying and now the CompensationTron. So is UGA with the Hedges, and Florida with the Swamp.

It's the SEC. Every stadium is rare and special and can't be replicated.

Has LSU made any push to widen the two-lane north-south roads that lead to and from the stadium? Would help ease the traffic situation a good deal. Otherwise the stadium size has simply outgrown the surrounding infrastructure capacity too much to prevent late arrivers/early leavers, especially since east-west roads can't be built due to the Mississippi River/university lakes...

Don't kid yourself here either...2012 and 14 were miracle wins.

I don't think you know what that word means. Let me help:

quote:

an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause.

The LSU TD to beat Kentucky in 2002 was a miracle. The AU pass to beat UGA in 2013 was a miracle (they even call it Miracle on the Plains).

A team driving down field 72 yards in 5 plays is not a miracle. Beating a team 21-17 is not a miracle. It means your D held them in check enough so that all your O had to do was get 3 TDs to win. That's 2012.

A team fumbling the ball deep in its own territory late in the 4th qtr but holding to a FG, then driving 55 yards for a game tying FG is not a miracle. Neither is that same team getting a TD in 6 plays in OT to take a 20-13 lead and then holding an inept Offense (with a QB who was 8-26 on the day) to a 4 and out to win the game 20-13. That's 2014.

As a person that lives in Baton Rouge and goes to almost every home game I am sick of people complaining about traffic after a game. You are at an event that has almost 200,000 people on campus during a big game. There is going to be traffic. I for one have learned to just stay an hour or so after then go home and it isn't that bad.

Great. Just what we needed. Another 15 year old Bama fan armed with equal parts idiocy and malice. Can we get the mods to start carding at the door again, please?

The front-butt is a sign of maturing into adulthood for Alabama residents. Don't disrespect the front-butt

In my personal experience, LSU, Bama, and TAMU have the loudest in the SEC.

I was just saying the dude is trying too hard with the blatant trolling.

...or sit in your car.

pick one. blame yourself if you get mad at your decision.

this is one Bama fan that does not get the corndog reputation.

I really enjoyed the Jambalaya I bought in TS when I was last there.

building a bridge across the Mississippi river south of the stadium would be good for traffic flow and probably help spur development.

i don't know BR that well but I do see the river being a huge issue for traffic flow.

I love corndogs... especially the fried ones you get at fairs/festivals.

I've looked for corndogs at football games before with no luck. You can get corndogs easily at baseball games so I got that going for me.

Tiger Stadium mystique is flawed
by Swoopin
I'm pretty sure LSU fans have all but caved on Tiger Stadium absolute supremacy. They're aware of their empty seats, late arrivers and early leavers. A lot of that is a trend that affects all teams, many here attribute it to the traffic situation. But the chest thumping has more or less subsided from where it was when I started posting here.

Actually, Tiger Stadium still has "absolute supremacy" and is its intimidating usual self for big OOC games (See Washington 2012, West Va. 2010, Va.Tech 2007, Arizona 2006, Oregon State 2004, etc.)
But LSU has actually been offered and played most of their big OOC games in neutral sites the last decade or so.
I will admit that for some of the lesser home OOC competition, the stadium empties a little earlier and the crowd may not be as fired up. But that's for ULL, Western Ky, North Texas, ULM, Arky St, etc.)

But I'm here to tell you, when there's a big SEC game in Death Valley, there is NO PLACE like it on earth.
(Just about all SEC games are crazy, but in particular: Ole Miss 2014, Florida 2009,07,05,
Georgia 2008 and 2003, Tennessee 2010, 2005, 2000
Auburn 2015,13,11,09,07,05,03,01, South Carolina 2015, 2012, 2007, Arkansas 2013,2011,2009,2007,2003,2001, A&M 15,13, bama 14,12,10,08,06,04,00.

And I'm pretty sure Tiger Stadium has had 'absolute supremacy' over this one school from Alabama (since 1999.)

Another bama troll. They just keep getting worse & worse. Go play circle jerk on your own board, that is why it was created. But, just as an aside, I'll let Steve Van Pelt, a totally unbiased & well respected and recognized as one of the best in his business, speak as to the mystique of T.S. His quotes are famous. Funny, I've never read anything remotely close about Bear's place.
