Gameday did not travel to campuses at the time, or surely they would have been at that Auburn game.

I read it, and it was actually very well written. I wish more people on this trash of a board would recognize a quality post when it happens (which it rarely does).

Your team is still going to lose though.

The original poster is a moron. He claims Moo State was dominant between 1997-2000 and Auburn was a shite show during this time. However Auburn won the western division in both 1997 and 2000. Moo State only won the western division in 1998

Maybe you can make an argument, but I choose to look at the records from 1997-2000.

MSU 33-15 (20-12 SEC)

and no one else had a winning SEC record in those four years
Alabama 24-23 (16-16)
Ole Miss 30-18 (15-17)
Arkansas 27-20 (15-17)
Auburn 27-21 (15-17)
LSU 24-22 (14-18)

Now that's a quality post.

Jackie Sherrill gonna Jackie Sherrill.

You need some Aggies up in this thread.

How old are you? The shite show that was Auburn in 1998 will never be matched. Petrino had nothing what was going on that year on the Plains.

You talk about the controversy at Auburn, but then you are actually dumb enough to brag about winning under one of the biggest cheaters in the history of college football. A guy who only ended up Moo State after he was fired from A&M for getting them on probation for cheating

if by passing the torch you mean going from LSU usually winning by less than 3 TDs to LSU always winning by more than 5 TDS than I agree with you.

This place can be really awful sometimes, man. Dude took time and wrote a quality post. He clearly exaggerated here and there for dramtic purposes and maybe was off on a couple of facts. But what part of his overall primis is untrue? There was a point in time when State was pretty good. In 2000, they soundly beat a couple of teams that were supposed to give them trouble. They played a limping LSU team that exposed them and it was all down hill from there. Dude sees that as a turning point in the program.

Unlike most of the crap that gets posted here, this was clearly NOT written to troll or flame anyone. He mentioned that LSU wasn't the best team in the West in the late 90's (duh) and that someone other than Bama (shocker) was thought of as the best team in the division in 2000. That isn't trolling if its true!

You left out the history of Jackie Sherrill and how he rose to prominance in coaching. You could have done more with the early history of Dan Mullen and how the swagger has returned that Jackie instilled.
