you act like bama is the one coming off an sec championship and NCG appearance and auburn is the one starting a brand new shitty QB this year.

Saban has yet to beat Gus as a HC.

Our head coach got desperate and hired an odd OC when the rival school in the state hired a good coach.

If thats true than this will be the first time Auburn has ever been relevant a year after being relevant.
I don't know how we won those three SEC titles in a row?

I'll take our odds as the SEC Rant Iron Bowl underdog.

Where did Auburn come from last year? Were they coming off a SEC and BCS title? Did they have a returning starting QB? (The answer to both is no, BTW)

Doesn't Auburn return most starters? Auburn will destroy Bama this year. Bama has to break in a new offense system, QB situation is uncertain, and they lose tons on both sides of the ball.

This sounds very familiar.

I think Bamas cupcake schedule hurt them last year as well. They were really a far more talented team, but not as well prepared or coached.
This year, the talent gap is going to be pretty small. AUs roster is loaded with juniors and seniors whose extra experience will make the overall talent gap negilible.
I like AUs chances if it comes down to coaching.

They returned the second most starters in the SEC in 2013.

Not radically different.

So was Alabama's in 2009, Auburn's in 2010, Alabama's in 2011, Auburn and Florida State's in 2013

Three out of 5 starting offensive linemen return, as do all the running backs, all but two WRs, both TEs, and our starting H-back
The majority of our defense played significant snaps last season. Yes, it will hurt losing HaHa and CJ, but that's not impossible to overcome.

Gus took big steps this year and has established himself as being as good as Saban. I don't know if it will happen this year but by year 3 I anticipate him being labeled a better coach and recruiter.

We played almost the exact same SEC schedule as Auburn did (Kentucky on the road and Auburn had UGA at home)
Colorado St beat Washington State
Chattanooga beat Western Carolina
Virginia Tech > Arkansas State
I'll give you that FAU > Georgia State

I don't see the same issues that plagued that team haunting this one. Too much hype was placed on Kodi Burns from a touchdown pass against New Mexico State and a game winning TD run against Clemson, and the offensive coaching staff was a complete disaster all year long.

I like how it went from AJ McCarron is a game manager and any quarterback could run that system with all of the talent to Bama can't win without AJ.
