I honestly hope this happens. You guys beat #1 UGA in Athens. Finish 11-1 to Bama and LSU's 10-2. And still don't get to go to Atlanta all because your permanent opponent is Vandy
There would be some angry MFers in Oxford and I wouldn't blame them, but it would be so glorious to see.

Ole Miss fans should hope that Bama wins out if they win out. Easier to position yourself for a playoff spot at 11-1 without having to play a rematch against UGA with a 100% Bowers. Winning the West falls secondary to making the playoff in the modern era.

sorry to burst your bubble, but even in your pie-in-the-sky scenario, I don’t think the SEC champ makes the playoff
12-1 or 13-0 B1G (Any of the 3)
12-1 or 13-0 PAC (Oregon or Udub)
12-1 or 13-0 Big 12 (Oklahoma or Texas)
13-0 ACC (FSU or UNC)
All of those probably get in before 12-1 Missouri or Ole Miss. It’s possible they might make it in over a 12-1 ACC Champ, but not 13-0.
Just my opinion.. maybe I am wrong..

SEC, ACC, Big10, Big 12, PAC all have bonafide playoff worthy teams.
They aren't taking two from the SEC. Especially if one of those is OM who isn't going to rate on the national level.

Obviously we watched 2 different endings! LSU OC stopped LSU on the last 2 drives by playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Both Defenses are shitty no matter how you dress it up
