"team with the highest ranking" doesn't come in to play at all. If none of the below breaks the tie, they flip a coin, literally

2. Three-Team Tie (or more): If three teams (or more) are tied for a division title, the following procedure will be used in the following order: (Note: If one of the procedures results in one team being eliminated and two remaining, the two-team tiebreaker procedure as stated in No. 1 above will be used):

A. Combined head to head record among the tied teams;

B. Record of the tied teams within the division;

C. Head to head competition against the team within the division with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non divisional) and proceeding through the division (multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last and a tie for first place will be broken before a tie for fourth place);

D. Overall Conference record against non divisional teams;

E. Combined record against all common non divisional teams;

F. Record against the common non divisional team with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non divisional) and proceeding through other common non divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division; and

G. Best cumulative Conference winning percentage of non-divisional opponents (Note: If two teams' non-divisional opponents have the same cumulative record, then the two-team tiebreaker procedures apply. If four teams are tied, and three teams' non-divisional opponents have the same cumulative record, the three-team tiebreaker procedures will be used beginning with 2.A.);

H. Coin flip of the tied teams with the team with the odd result being the representative (Example: If there are two teams with tails and one team with heads, the team with heads is the representative).

Bama will lose to Tennessee, and then proceed to beat LSU, Kentucky, and Auburn all in 1 possession games teasing us each week.

Just gonna take a lot of independent things to ALL happen when I’m not sure any of them are even likely individually.

Like it’s absolutely possible for Ole Miss to beat Georgia but also crap the bed in Auburn or Starkville. LSU could beat Bama and then turn around and lose to Florida. You could get the big results but then it’s all for naught with an unexpected hiccup somewhere.

And that’s not even considering the chalk scenario of Bama and Georgia just win out in games they’ll be favored in.

its pretty obvious that its going to end up being Mizzou vs Ole Miss in ATL. Winner goes to CFP

This has to only be obvious to mizzou fans... but hey, i remember when y'all were gonna beat down LSU.

We don't need LSU to lose again. We have the tiebreaker against them.

Ole Miss fans are telling LSU they are delusional for thinking they can win the West. In the same breath they’re pretending like they don’t need a ton of help to do it themselves.

Ole Miss is not beating Georgia. Hell, Ole Miss may not even beat Auburn this weekend.

ETA: Ole Miss fans pretending like they don’t need LSU to lose to someone other than Bama is hilarious.

Y’all need a 2 way tie with us.

3 way tie with us and bama and it’s either bama or lsu likely lsu.

That’s the price for playing vandy.

The only thing you can feel is denial of reality which you are free to do just you are not free to deny the consequences of your denying of reality.

A 3 way tie means that we beat #1 Georgia and Alabama would have the later loss. We would be the highest ranked and have the best wins.

None of this matters. It’s the records of your East opponents. Vandy is going winless in conference most likely. That sends Bama.

Again, you guys need a ton of help.

We’ll also beat UGA then lose to Mississippi State the last weekend. They would build a statue of Arnett if he pulled that off

Which is why I said they have to get past the best team in the country. Lose to UGA and you need Bama to drop 2 more games and LSU to drop at least 1 more. This is also assuming y’all get past Auburn and State on the road.

Bama is in the drivers seat.

I think you meant to put an 'or' instead of a 'then'. The first part of that scenario isn't that far-fetched. If Ole Miss wins out, all they really have to hope for is LSU beating Bama if I'm not mistaken.

Ole Miss going 5-0 with their remaining conference schedule is extremely far fetched.

Yet it all comes down to opponents sec winning percentage.

The sec west opponents records are the same for all three teams.

Vanderbilt is looking at a winless sec season. Even if Georgia goes 7-1 you are looking at a sub .500 sec record at best vandy wins 1 and y’all’s east opponents are 8-8.

Mizzou and Florida are 5-2 already

Tenn and Kentucky 4-3

Wasn’t there a thread calling out LSU fans for believing they could win out! OM defense is just as shitty as LSUs. You can’t have it both ways

Maybe not. As of now the LSU game looks like more of an outlier kind of like MSU does for LSU's defense. Ole Miss held Bama to 350 yards and Arkansas to under 300 yards. I don't think they're necessarily good but we do lead the SEC in turnover margin (or did going into this past weekend). I think Ole Miss has an average defense and ran into an elite one in LSU.

Team with the highest ranking goes, which would probably be ole miss in this scenario if they win out. If ole miss drops Georgia, their hopes are basically over. I’d say bama definitely has the edge. We really needed arky to beat them

If there's one thing you can always count on, it's Arkansas to keep Ole Miss out of Atlanta.

Good for nothing pigs.

I really don't see how Arky wins/losses count toward deciding SEC West Champion from here on out as you've lost to everyone in contention.
