I wouldn't expect you to, but it was noticeable from the start to the end once his back got tight.

The biggest thing I was proud of about this team is there was no quit in em.They could have folded the tents early on and packed it in like some other teams did.

Beliema did a great job of not letting these players fold.

I agree with everything you said --- that is a reason for optimism. If only more fans were like you, happy with that instead trying to find some weird non-linear logic to explain why Arkansas is better than Auburn while somehow bypassing the scores of the last two years.

Again, I think Arkansas is greatly improved, I just think lots of the arky posters need to slow their roll until they win on the field.

The absolute lamest argument I have heard is "well we won a bowl game and Auburn has not in two years" Alabama has not won a bowl game in two years either, but surely Arky fans are not delusional enough to think they are better than Alabama? Winning on the field beats any of that bizarre logic. It is grasping at straws to try and find some convoluted argument to say "hey we are better than you, we just keep losing to you".

You guys are a broken record after the fact. If you really want to read something funny --- take a look at this thread from 2013 LINK

I like how the past two years, Arkansas fans have been claiming what a rebuild they had to do --- yet the same posters on this thread had a very different view back then.

Auburn went 8-5 then 3-9, we went 11-2 and then 4-8. Plus we beat them easily the past two years. They have a much bigger rebuild than we do.

Posted this before, but we have a 4* at QB and RB, a 5* backup RB, two 4* on the OL plus an all-american C, and signed a top 3 TE. We are inexperienced yes but we aren't full of 2* players either.

I think we win head to head since it's at home but both teams could end up with similar records. I just don't buy that they will all of a sudden jump to 8 or 9 wins because of Gus, the players last year didn't win an SEC game...that's not all on coaching

My point here is really simple, before your fans keep up the trash talk, maybe you should win something of value.

Thank you for that stroll down memory lane. Props to Dale Denton for predicting ignorance more than a single year in advance.

Jesus. This thread had nothing to do with Alabama, but here you are. Talking about Alabama.

Apparently losing bowl games is expected in that state.

I think the original op was valid. Arkansas fans can't be responsible for the sailing on of the Auburn fans. The fact Arkansas has had the worst 3 year run in their history and the Auburn posters are telling them to shut up because of the outcomes of the last 2 games is pretty telling. Its weak sauce from a supposed "power" in this conference

Higgs, you need to realize that you arguing with them is exactly why they use this formula over and over. The point isn't to justify why arky is better than Auburn because they won a bowl game, it is to laugh at people trying to argue against a ridiculous argument thus showing insecurity. I actually always enjoy reading these threads, but you need to understand what you are doing.

Each team has this type of tactic to use against other fanbases. We will make sure to bring up horsecollars with ATM, cheating with Bama and the a abhorent thug culture that UGA breeds.

It wasn't fair to laugh at Auburn losing to Johnelle because that was "the worst Auburn team in history".

Long and shot of it is they are always the victim.

Good point. I am just ready for the off season to be over or at least start reading threads with good breakdowns on upcoming games.

Wow...Tammy (or was it fake Tammy?) made an appearance in that thread.

2013 wasn't funny. Our offense sputtered. Brandon Allen was green. Our defense was simply awful. It appeared everything had changed for the worse but what I didn't realize at the time was the fact that Coach Bielema's style of football would take a couple of seasons to really take shape. Gus Malzahn walked right back in to a team with which he was familiar and the team was familiar with his style of play. This year, Arkansas should have a lot tougher defense than Auburn witnessed last year and our offense will even be better. Plus, we have a new OC and that should be a plus. Auburn should be better on defense as well so I believe our game will be close. But I'm picking us to win. It should be a good one.

Depends on what the expectations are. Their fans usually have overinflated pre season hopes so as far as their expectations, oh yeah bigtime flop!

AU fans (and the experts)expect AUs Offense to be better this year with Johnson. They also expect the Defense to be improved under Wil Muschamp. How much they improve will determine how well the season turns out. Keep in mind, last years Defense forced a punt less than 20% of the time (SEC Games). If the Defense can produce two additional stops per game, the point differential could be 14-28 per game over last year.

Wash. rinse. repeat.

First it was Chizik.

Then it was the porno stache.

Then it was Johnson.

Now it is Muchamp.

All supposed saviors of the defense on the plains.

Wash, rinse, repeat, resulted in a BCSNC and a BCSNCG appearance. I wonder if Hog fans would like those results, even if they had to deal with a 3-9 and 8-5 years in between. I forgot, they had to deal with the latter anyway.
