The SEC got dogged this year by national and local media. The Alabama beat writers would have a bitchfest every time Alabama or Auburn played complaining about the state of the respective programs.
This weekend plus the performance by the NIT teams has been a validation that maybe things weren't as bad as everyone thought they were

And the Big East rode that shite to a filthy number of NCAA bids whether they deserved them or not. Would love to see the SEC be able to do this.
