Bama was out of that recruiting "battle" long, long before signing day. Tech and Florida stayed around.

We may have backed off for "other" reasons, but from a talent perspective he was at or near the top of our board that year as I recall.

Either way, this move doesn't make much sense on paper.

This is bs. Chizik had his weekly presser tonight and even said RT would see more secondary reps.

Robinson Therezie has moved from cornerback to running back, not sure why... He did play it in HS... ETA: player requested the move...

I thought he was expected to be one of the starting DBs sooner rather than later.

Makes no sense to me

How can you move a damned top DB to RB this far along?

I wouldn't think RB was a spot where AU needed bodies at this point.

Once again, the coaches didn't move him. He moved himself.

Why didn't he do it in the offseason then? Why now? How soon could he be expected to play if he's only been practicing db? Did he cost himself the season doing this?

I'm guessing he wasn't going to get time at CB, so he asked if he could help anywhere else. Is that about right?

I've got a strange feeling that if the coaches didn't want it to happen, he wouldn't have moved.

Of course, that might just be indigestion.

I wouldn't necessarily go that far b/c I think he would've gotten playing time.

To me it sounds like he has the desire to play RB and not DB.

As a coach you have to let the kid move positions. If you force him to stay at DB w/o a desire to play, you're going to get a player that plays like he doesn't want to be there.

McCaleb to QB, Frazier to LB, Bates to DB, and the circle is complete.

AuburnTigers.com says the head coach is Chizik. There's your answer.

He can't force a player to be happy.

it is fricking bullshite if Chizik is letting him play RB just because he fricking wants to

fwiw I have no faith in this report...JGT just speculated that it could be true...if this is true I have zero faith in Chizik anymore
