Bama and LSU or any other team in the SECw usually play for... well.. the SECw. LSU won that. And they got to play in Atlanta and they won the SECCG, kudos.

Bama is playing for the BCSC which isn't played until Jan 9th. When Bama lost they got pushed down the rankings and every single team before them and behind them crapped on their chance.

This isn't really a "rematch" at all. The 1st game wasn't a championship game.. it was just a game. All Bama did was win the next few games and they found themselves in a position to play for the title. Now, we have our chance!

The "bama had their chance" argument carries a great deal of merit. There is no playoff in CFB and so the regular season serves as the playoff. Bama and LSU played, and LSU won. There is a very strong argument that there should *never* be a rematch in a system that is essentially a 2-team playoff.
