I don't remember anyone saying that Florida shouldn't have a crack at the SEC championship because Bama had already beaten them.

Because that is how the SEC Championship is set up. I doesn't rely on polls to choose the champion. FL won the East, the got the right to play for the title. That is a stupid argument to justify your good fortune.

If bama wins the NC, will it carry an asterisk behind it? Will LSU and others consider it tainted?

And I imagine Oklahoma State didn't realize their game vs. Iowa State was for a national championship and equally weird that they would put it in their regular schedule and basically in the middle of a football season

yes. It will simply be added to the long list of NCs that are constantly disputed by non-bama fan.

How sweet would that have been. To be a 4 TD favorite in a NC game. awesome.

I didn't say it was in either 2008 or 2009. I know time goes by fast, so when I said A FEW YEARS AGO.......It was longer than 2008 or 2009.

Learn the fricking definition of "few."

Didn't Florida win their division, so hence the are the other team allowed to play in the SEC championship, that puts the east winner against the west winner. Thats why nobody was saying they should not play again. your argument is highly flawed.

And this only happened in 1999 for bama/ UF

As an Alabama fan If the shoe was on the other foot I wouldn't care who we played in the BCSNCG it could be the NO Saints for all I care we have that much confidence in our team.

It's not about having confidence in your team, it's about being pissed at how stupid the system is. I'm confident we can beat you again, but why should we have too? What will beating you again prove? That we are still better than your team 2 months later?

Then if Ok State wins their bowl game a whole new argument will start with the talking heads about how they could have beaten LSU with their "Dynamic offense". This stuff will never end.

and ridiculous.

I didn't realize the 1st game we played was for a national championship.. which is weird that they would put it on our regular schedule and basically in the middle of a football season...

Bama and LSU or any other team in the SECw usually play for... well.. the SECw. LSU won that. And they got to play in Atlanta and they won the SECCG, kudos.

Bama is playing for the BCSC which isn't played until Jan 9th. When Bama lost they got pushed down the rankings and every single team before them and behind them crapped on their chance.

This isn't really a "rematch" at all. The 1st game wasn't a championship game.. it was just a game. All Bama did was win the next few games and they found themselves in a position to play for the title. Now, we have our chance!

Holy shite. You're retarded.

Ignorance is bliss... We played them once this year now we are playing them again. Its not a rematch, its a do over...

because the NC is a matchup of the two best teams. Winning helped qualify LSU for the NC game. Losing didn't disqualify Bama for the NC game, especially when considering the rest of the teams that shite the bed.

It will prove you are the national champions this year.

and yes, it would prove that your team is still better two months later.

regular season vs post season, a small but distinct difference.
