he took wisconsin to 3 straight rose bowls. that's impressive stuff. i predict similar results at arkansas if the fans will give him time to install his system.

He's going into his 5th season and he still suc*s. How much time does someone need?

I'm obviously not a Hog fan, so it's easy for me to talk positively about Bret. I grant that. But how many games do you think Bret would be winning in, say, the Big 12?

Also, you should have named yourself "Pighogorean Theorem." I realize that has nothing to do with the topic at hand, but I feel strongly about it.

I honestly don't know, but he isn't cutting it here. He's converting to a 3-4 defense next season. So our hell of a schedule next season along with learning a new defense spells for a long season. 6-6 will be his ceiling sadly next season.

he had a big mess to clean up. that takes time, especially in the climate of the current sec. i foresee coach b being the next bill snyder.

You would probably do better to say the PAC12 or Big10. I believe the offenses from the Big 12 would eat him alive week to week. Of course he would probably be able to run for 250 every game though.

If I had to analyze the problem, I'd say he's trying to follow the Saban path to greatness, especially on defense (straight-up 3-4s are a rarity nowadays.) His problem is that Saban has adapted as necessary, which is why he's still contending for titles, while Bret is still trying to get to where Saban started. If and when he does, he'll be fielding some tough teams. But getting there is hard as hell, especially since 3-4 is one of the most difficult schemes to recruit for and Bret doesn't have the recruiting prowess that Saban has.

Wisconsin has been better since his departure. They were quite glad to see him go.

You shouldn't be doing that. You are interfering with a scientific poll.

I've spoken to many Wisconsin fans and this is honestly the 1st time I've ever heard this. I wouldn't exactly say they'really better since he left either. More or less the same.

It's shocking that so many hog fans on this site hate him now but a year ago he was one of the best coaches in the conference .

If not for the 2 collapses to end the season they'd still feel them same. That was hard to take losing games like that. I'd say he's done about as well as any coach could in the situation. Saban is still the only SEC coach I'd take overy him.
