honestly imo Jefferson is not the problem it was their OL. This has to be the worst OL LSu had since the 2000 season. It was plain terrible. Jefferson was sacked or hit more times than any sec qb. Wasnt that a stat from last yr?

Well if you apply the same logic, you are saying Nick Saban and Alabama coaches are not very good coaches because they almost lost to the sisters of the poor Auburn put on the field last season. Give me a break man. You cant really have it both ways.

Rohan who is saying LSu (except a couple of new fans) is not going to be any good. I havent although could have missed but I havent seen one Bama fan that has been here for any length of time saying LSu will suck. Is this some sort of Tiger fan motivation you got going on here; play the underdog card until everyone believes it

you're either dense or blind or both. i don't have time to do a search right now, but everyday I see plenty of people (mostly Old Miss and Bama fans) say how LSU will never win anything as long as Miles is the coach. and how Jefferson sucks, PP is overrated and Russell Shepard won't produce because of our "shitty coaching staff."

you don't see any of that? give me a break.

I have seen enough people here write off LSU to cause me to initiate the topic in this post. Also, living in Alabama, I have heard the Finebaums and Barnhardts of the SEC completely disregard LSU because of our bumbling coach. I get that and am not trying to defend him. But, the talent level is so ridiculous at LSU right now (in Miles' 6th year with another top 5 class coming in) that putting LSU 4th in the West and treating them as a non-factor is a mistake.

Hence, the "underestimating LSU" in the subject line.

Yall aren't getting it any worse than any other team is getting it, and frankly, the whining is kind of annoying.

If LSU played to its potential it would be on Alabama and Florida's level right now. And you can't blame it all on a bad QB
You need to read Sean Payton's book if you think QB is not the key between a good 9-4 type season and a great 14-0 type season. It's not just about the QB play but also the QB leadership. Anyone that loves football needs to read that book. The title is: Home Team. It gives great insight into the way coaches think and most around here don't understand everything that goes into building a successful program.

1. We are at home which made a huge difference.
2. Auburn had extra weeks rest and preparation for the game.
3. It is a true rivalry game and those games are always closer than the talent shows.

I bet I can find thousands of LSU fans who agree that Miles and Crowton are jokes. Don't get butt hurt because your coach is a moron. You had to bring in Auburn's coaches as your only defense to your staff. I guess UK and Vandy's coaching staffs are better than ours too.

I havent seen anyone say PP is overrated and the rest sounds like you are getting the sec rant confused with the tiger rant. You do know you are posting on the sec rant right?

what about the two AU squads LSU beat in 07 and 08?

Everyone beat us in 08 and Les Miles is the luckiest man alive. The play he called to win the game in 07 ended up matching a freshman CB with your WR. It was a great play don't get me wrong but some serious luck involved.
