quote:Agreed. This whole scandal thing has ruined Winstons chances
at this point would be to give the award to AJ McCarron

Give it to the BYU QB or one of the Service Academies QB/RB, based on your selection criteria. A QB that throws for 179 yards in his biggest game of the year should not be in the conversation. Giving it to Ingram when he had 5 games under 100yards was bad enough.
If he finishes the regular season after the SEC championship undefeated with 30 plus TD's, 3000 yards and 3 picks would those not be good stats? For a game manager who takes off at halftime to not run the score? You guys are idiots.

Thanks for not letting me down

Did you know that Auburn is 108th in the nation in passing, out of 123 teams? Intredasting.

They have a safety playing QB and not even a good safety like Landon Collins. They took a smooth criminal kicked out of UGA to play QB and they didn't take Mettsiah.

He is surrounded by great players so I'm sure some voters will discount some of his playmaking.
Hate this argument. Manziel and Winston are not surrounded by a bunch of scrubs.

As it occurred to you that auburn, aka running back U, hasn't needed to pass the ball much?

He also threw for 70% and 3 TDs and no INTs in the LSU game, but why would we want to look at the whole picture right?
And why is the LSU game now considered the biggest game? In the first "biggest game" of the year, when his team required it, he threw for 334 yards, 4 TDs and no INTs, again on 70% passing.
I'm not saying McCarron should win it. I would probably vote for Manziel again, but to say that McCarron shouldn't be in the conversation because he only threw for 179 yards against LSU is shortsighted and silly.

Really? That didn't stop them from doing it in 2010. Wonder why they're not doing it now? They're averaging the same rushing yardage as they did in 2010.

Sooooooo....national championship?

Agree, but some folks will vote for JFF bc he and Evans are difference makers for them.

Guys there's no debate the award is JFFs.
I'm not sure why you morons talk about total yards and TDs. Do I care if McCaron threw for 600 yards or 200 against Georgia State?
Do I care if JFF had 7 combined TDs against New Mexico State? Oh look Marriota has shiny numbers! Then he plays one real defense and proves why he shouldn't have been in the conversation to begin with.
If AJ was a heisman worthy QB Bama would have jumped out to a big lead in the 1st Quarter after LSU had 2 turnovers. Sure he's a great QB and fits Bama's offense well, but he's not on JFF's level.
Who cares if Colt Brennan throws for 70 Tds in a season if he can't throw for 1 against UGA what's it matter?
Complete game stats are honestly a horrible indicator of a player's abilities. That's like saying Bama's #2 RB is better than the #1 because for the game they average more yards per carry...

JFF is the best college football player hands down not even close. Winston behind him.
