Why wouldn't it translate to the SEC? Guys he developed like JJ Watt, Matt Shanussey (sp) and travis Frederick wouldnt cut it in the SEC?

I think he is a perfect fit for the hogs. I think the Arkansas fans need to adjust their expectations to the performance capabilities of Bielema and the hog program.

I haven't noticed huge expectations for this year. The highest record I've seen has been like 7-5.

That's an interesting list.
It shows that Gene Chizik, Urban Meyer, Derek Dooley, Gary Pinkel, Les Miles, Nick Saban, Robbie Caldwell, Mike Sherman and Steve Spurrier all managed to recruit a 1st or 2nd round NFL quality player.
Bobby Petrino, Houston Nutt, Joker Phillips, Dan Mullen, Mark Richt and Bert Bielema failed to accomplish that.
3 out of those last 6 were Arkansas coaches.
When are you going to finish your stadium btw?

Funny how no one was complaining about his recruiting when he was near the top in the NCAA in sending players to the NFL just a few years ago
You don't think its obvious last year wasn't all a coaching problem when we lost to rutgers, the type of team he regularly beat in the big 10?
When exactly do you think Rutgers joined the big 10?

Recruiting is the big one. It's the lifeblood of the program. Bielema isn't cut out to compete in the recruiting arena with the rest of us.

I see your recruiting class is holding up well.

Congrats on your recruiting with Sumlin, although it would appear that Mike Sherman had a tremendous eye for talent, especially on the O Line.
Texas has out-recruited you until the past few yrs, yet I am quite sure that you would have clobbered them these past two seasons.
You have ALWAYS out-recruited Baylor; but I would bet quite a bot that they would have crushed you last yr, and would do the same this year as well.
Recruiting is terribly important. We Arkansas fans understand this. But we have never been and will never be a recruiting powerhouse.
We must be better coached(which includes being savvy evaluators of talent) than other teams to win.
I don't really know if BB will be that guy for us. I think Malzahn, for example, would have been a better choice. Mike Gundy would have been a home run. But those are just opinions
And if we go Ofer this yr in league play, I'm going to be very pissed. But I don't have a voice in any of this, so I support my team.
I'm not entirely sold on Sumlin either though.
Are you?

He cant win football games in the SEC, its really that simple. Everything else is an expansion of this point.
Oh how it will sting if you turn out to be the first.

access to recruits on the level of LSU, Bama, A&M
One of these three is not like the others. (Hint: It's Bama.)
We have had success against both LSU and aTm WITH our inferior recruits. And will continue to. Just a rough couple of years after Petrino fell off that damn bike.

Uh thats not what i said. I said rutgers was the same TYPE of team he dominated in the big 10 that you guys love to point out (northwestern, illinois, etc). He didn't just lose to them all of a sudden because he forgot how to coach from 2012
