That's an outlier after a 3-9 season. Why don't you link some other seasons?

Your offense actually requires MORE talent than spreads do to run effectively.

bert had more players he recruited drafted into the NFL this year than every coach in the SEC not named les miles or nick saban LINK

USCe has out recruited Arky and Wisky the last three years, FWIW.

Funny how no one was complaining about his recruiting when he was near the top in the NCAA in sending players to the NFL just a few years ago
You don't think its obvious last year wasn't all a coaching problem when we lost to rutgers, the type of team he regularly beat in the big 10?

Big 10
Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota, Northwestern, etc. arent walking through the door the SEC West.
no but Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Mizzou, and Texas A&M will be
sure we may not be able to beat lsu every year or not beat bama ever. but there's plenty of other teams in the SEC that I like our chances against

Why do you think almost every small program runs the spread, air raid or triple option?
Its because they dont have the talent to effectively play traditional offense.

A&M would have won the Big 10 in 2012, and MSU and Ole Miss both are significant upgrades over half the Big 10.
And Mizzu is in the East.

He made a name for himself largely beating sub-.500 teams from the midwest.

This has nothing to do with recruiting.

NFL draft pick worthy talent >>>>> high school stars fwiw

So you think recruiting well but not putting them in the NFL is better than not ''recruiting'' well and putting boatloads of them in to the league?
By that logic give me the shittiest recruiting class you can find!

This is player development, an entirely separate issue.
And before you jump on the "he developed players so well" angle, I never denied that. I said that wont translate to the SEC.

Shitty recruiting and developing average talent can work in the Big 10. It wont work in the SEC because the other teams are SO much more talented, the gap is too wide to make up.

Would you like 247, scout or ESPN? They all tell the same story.

He can't win in the SEC. The only reason that matters.
