I had a Louisville fan a few weeks ago claiming their basketball national championship was this last tournament, Kevin Ware broke his leg in the NCG and was a senior when it happened. He was also sure that Louisville has played for a national title in football, and recently played Auburn.
I have an LSU fan that's bad too, but if I post some of the stuff he's said then LSU fans here will just say I'm trolling

He's probably like my dad, just talking sports because it's the standard thing to do. You can tell he has no interest in it. Just view it as him trying to fit in. Maybe just avoid those conversations with him to save the frustration.

There's his close cousin: The sports guy who only watches and has knowledge of his team. Big OSU guy in my office. He knows a lot about his team, and to a MUCH lesser extent, BIG football. However, he thinks he also knows a lot about SEC/ACC teams and comments on them frequently, but if you spend 10 seconds listening to him, you will realize he knows absolutely nothing about Southern teams, their history, traditions, etc.

A real sports guy listens to 680 just to laugh at the nonsense being spewed, not for information.
