How do you handle them. I didn't correct the guy today. He was talking sports for a long time. I was biting my tounge he was wrong so often but he'd probably not believe me.

Highlights:
"Well, Tennesse hasn't done anything worth a darn in years but they did beat Florida last year."
Dude claims to be a Georgia fan. "Well missouri wasn't good last year but they beat us pretty good."
"Turner field is in a nice part of town."
On an on.

I guess it can get pretty confusing with them going to Atlanta over y'all every year.

Call them out in a nice way. Like saying "are you talking about last year or the year before?" People can remember last year, but rarely the year before. Even if they were totally wrong, making them seem like they remember the wrong year is a pretty good way to go about it without hurting feelings too bad.

What's more annoying to me is the Sports Guy who just starts repeating whatever somebody said on 680 that morning like he came up with this unique thoughtful analysis on his own.

I know that guy, he is my boss... During the little league world series, he debated himself for two hours about how some girl pitcher was the next Roger Clemons.

I have a client like that. Literally the week before the Super Bowl last year said "Think the Packers win it all this year?"

Play along and make him talk more. Try to see if you can prod him into make more false claims of higher magnitude. That would be my approach while trying not to laugh.

I run into these guys a lot being a big fight fan.

Most people only watch the Rouseys and Mayweathers of the world. They know jack shite when it comes to the rest of the fighters.

I had one guy tell me that Sugar Shane Mosley had fought Roy Jones Jr. When I told him it never happened and that there is a 30 pound weight differential between the two he back peddled and told me they fought as amateurs. He even said his "homeboy" had it on tape. When I told him to produce the tape he said that he had nothing to prove to me.
