This place doesn't reflect the SEC as a whole. Hating Auburn is the cliquish thing to do here. Make no mistake, the large majority of the country will be Auburn fans Saturday.

Most of the country believed, completely, that Cam Newton was bought by Auburn. Recent enough to where I doubt anyone will be cheering for AU.

frick the nation. Outside observers are only pulling for Auburn because they don't want to see a SEC team in the NCG again.....

You sure do put a lot of faith in the attention span of the general college football observer.

Only an Auburn fan would believe something this stupid.

Losing to Auburn would be the most crushing defeat of Nick Saban's career (Kevin Scarbinsky)
Is Scarbo an Auburn Fan???

Whether AU fans like it or not, when you mention Auburn football to someone outside the region, most of them think of Cam Newton being bought. That's just the truth. Had AU not won it all with Cam, that probably wouldn't be the case.

Scarbo must of missed the 2008 SEC title game. Bama was one quarter from playing for their first title in 16 years. Losing to Auburn would suck, but after 3 of 4 titles it would be nowhere near as devestating as that loss.

Most of the nation believes bama buys most of their good players.

Wrong. Right now you get a pat on the back and a "good luck, I'm pulling for you guys to beat bama".

That has been happening to me for a couple of weeks. First thing I heard yesterday morning when I got to the office as well. About all I have been hearing is beat bama, can't stand bama, saban is a liar, etc.

I can promise you about everyone outside of SEC country is pulling for AU. I have Miami, FSU, UF, Notre Dame, FIU, FAU, Emory, New York U alums and others in my office so I see a pretty broad cross section.

I'm pulling for SCar, A&M, Sparty, Duke, Sooners and Longhorns. NIU/Fresno for all the marbles.

They think everyone else clings to the Cam Newton farce as strongly as they do.

They are wrong. Have not heard anything negative about Cam in regards to AU literally since early 2011 down here. Serious. Not a single thing in nearly three years.

Of course, they would say that about any team playing Bama. I hated USC and pulled for them to lose when they were beatin' the frick out of everybody.

And most of the country is tired of seeing alabama win all the time. Most of the country would rather seen ANYONE else win other than alabama.
