The Big Ten fans up here would pull for Fidel Castro and the Cuban Transvestite Lingerie All Stars to stop Alabama and the SEC at this point.

It is destiny for Alabama to thump the hell out of Ohio State in the BCS title game. I don't know how in the hell Florida State is going to drop a game, but it's destiny.

Most of the nation is pulling for (insert team name) to beat Bama. They're sick of them winning. Auburn just happens to be the team Bama plays next. They hate the SEC, and they will not jump a 1 loss SEC team over another BCS school. It's not going to happen this year. Four team playoff starts next year. Would be funny to see Bama win it this year, BARELY get into the 4 team playoff next year, and win that one too. The butthurt would be strong!

The college football fans I know up here (mostly Notre Dame and Ohio State fans) would not be furious if auburn gets into the BCS title game. They only want Bama to lose because it likely eliminates another SEC title (and because it likely helps a Big Ten school get in).

National fans are pulling for auburn the way LSU will be pulling for auburn - holding their noses and wishing they could both lose, but taking the lesser of two evils in their minds.

That's exactly what's wrong with this pussified, apologetic, and lost nation; they have forgotten how to appreciate winners. Winners are a threat to everyone's fragile psyche. We can't have winners, because there is no parity in that.

Screw that! Winners built this nation! Roll Tide!

The most challenging part of being a Bama fan for me is hearing the political views of 90% of our fanbase.

Roll Tide!

So everybody should be fairweather fans?

I work in logistics so I have customers and vendors all over he country..most of which know I'm an Auburn fan. In hearing from most of them saying "good luck, we're pulling for you!"

I have a similar situation, and hear "Roll Tide" quite a bit. I think it's just a courtesy more than true sentiment. If I had to guess who most of the country is cheering for, I'd say most of the country doesn't give a damn.

Either way, if they are, it's just sour grapes. I would take solace in that as a Bama fan.

Well, yeah. The average sports viewer, void of personal agendy, pulls for the underdog. It's not a hard concept to grasp.

I and a whole bunch of people I know hope you beat crap out of the Gumps. Gumps acting like this wouldn't be devastating are whistling past the graveyard.

This place doesn't reflect the SEC as a whole. Hating Auburn is the cliquish thing to do here.

Does being hated make you feel important or good? Kind of reminds me of a woman in an abusive relationship.

It really does. After last year they're pumped to evoke any sort of emotion out of people other than sympathy.
