The ags apparently dont understand that its their responsibility to carry the state of Texas....so far only its the only yankee voting state of the SEC footprint, albiet by a very slim margin

have you ever read espn comments? they all seem about on the intellectual level of Alabama fans

Most are Bama fans and they make it their life's goal to tell people how great Bama is. Even when they suck. If you notice most of the states that voted for Bama are spread about as far you would expect Bama fans to move from Alabama. ND has more wins, the highest Win Percentage of all FBS schools, and more NCs but the rest of the CFB fans combined on ESPN are not enough to trump the number of Bama fans that vote on there.

Let's just note that AU isn't on the radar and realize the source of their fans' arse pain.

Congrats Alabama for being #1 in college football, and #50 on everything else.

I found that sort of surprising as well. However, Cali people tend to be very "here and now" type of people. If this vote had taken place during the Carroll era, they'd have at least come in 3rd, if not better.

I'll take a win over a team this year that has more NCs in the past over winning more NCs and losing to them. Moral victories over how many of your fans voted for your team on an ESPN poll can't take away the loss.

To be fair, I thought Bama had more NC's than Notre Dame? And I'm unbiased in that assumption, since they claim one of ours (1964).

Nope on the NCs.

Also, ND's last title was 25 years ago. Alabama has 4 since then. As much as people can and should take into account a program's entire history, human nature is to give more weight to recent history / things you actually witnessed.

Claimed and unclaimed with all the polls ND has 22 and Bama has 19. I did see a pic of one year with your players with the NC banner and they claimed it, where I think yall went undefeated.

Nah. Right now the barners are state and conference champions. Including Tuscaloosa County. Bama can be the ESPN poll champions.
