Y'all have only been playing each other annually since expansion.

At this point though, it's been long enough since the first expansion to have developed a good hate. For whatever reason, it just hasn't happened.

Yup...we've only played them 43 times total & only 17 times before 1980...

Went from '37 to '68 without playing UT even tho we were in the same conference...

I admittedly do not take in the Landing /downtown scene before or after the Cocktail Party, and I wasn't able to go at all last year, so yeah, I have seen more fights at UGA/AU than at the Cocktail, but they certainly could be happening where I am not.

Hey! You got to talk about what you saw! And, we have a pretty heated rivalry with Auburn, too....so...appropriate!

When we're at home and they do the pre-game/warm-ups dance our band usually responds by instantly blaring Rocky Top at them. It's fun, imo, though some fans get MAD about it all.

Personally, I think they do it because of nerves. Probably started with a couple of players and others joined in, then next thing you know it happens every game. it becomes a tradition of sorts.

I played with a guy that used to throw up after every single practice and before every single game.

For whatever reason though, our games with UGA have always been pretty clean and far less hateful (usually more fun than anything else).

I always dread the Tennessee games. I don't care what kind of team y'all have, you ALWAYS bring your "A" game against us. It is rarely an easy game. See: Last year for example.

I've heard stories, too. I'll probably never go. I like living!

You should go at least once. Best rivalry in cfb.

I am personally amazed more students/fans haven't drowned in the river. There are so many drunk off their arse people in the vicinity, you would think it is bound to happen.

Seems like somebody dies every year. Get drunk and fall off a balcony, or something. Not necessarily at the game, but festivities surrounding the game.

True....but I think it is more about getting to know the other fans. I have several friends who are BIG time Gator fans. We rib each other a little, but I think we respect each other a lot. I know I respect them. Good people. They are one reason I can't get to the hate part with Florida.

Yeah, it is. I'm sure I'd have a good time. but I am an older guy, and I just don't like crowds that much. Maybe the wife and I will go down there one year and make a week of it. I hear Jacksonville is pretty nice.

As much as I hate UGA on here, I've had good interactions with UGA fans when travelling a ton in the past. Had some good convos.

Do need to go to JAX for a game my self

Probably most fans....if you meet them in person, are good people. Most of us act like jerks because this is anon....anan...anomy....anmos......unknown.

What would you say if Nick Saban had ordered his bench to clear during last year's Iron Bowl

This is highly inaccurate. Richt only ordered the players to celebrate after the first touchdown and the entire team had to participate. The decision of what to do was left entirely up to the players.
